CHOCOLATE FONDUE
Steps:
- Combine the condensed milk, chocolate chips, vanilla and a pinch of salt in a fondue pot with a lighted burner. Stir until the chocolate is just melted and warm. Place offerings such as strawberries, marshmallows, mini pretzels and pound cake cubes on a platter around the fondue pot for guests to choose from. Have fondue forks available for dipping and plates and flatware available for the dipped items (eating right from the fondue fork is bad fondue party etiquette!).

INSTANT POT CHOCOLATE FONDUE
Steps:
- Pour 2 cups of water into the bottom of your Instant Pot liner. Place the trivet into the pot. In a bowl that will fit inside your Instant Pot, add chocolate chips, peanut butter, and heavy cream. Stir so everything is covered. Place a piece of tin foil on top of the bowl. Place the bowl in Instant Pot and put the lid on top of Instant Pot. Set to sealing and then set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for three minutes. When the timer goes off, quick pressure release all the extra pressure. The chocolate will look a little odd when you take off the tinfoil - it's supposed to! Just stir around for a little while until everything is combined and it thickens a little bit. Enjoy!

- Place 1 cup of water in a medium saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium-low heat. Place a medium bowl over the simmering water and add the chocolate and cream. Let the mixture sit for a minute, and then stir constantly until completely melted about 5-10 minutes. ***Be careful to not let the steam from the simmering water get into your chocolate mixture, this will undoubtedly seize the chocolate. If a lot of steam is escaping, lower the temperature.***

- Load your ingredients into the Crockpot in this order: coconut cream, vanilla, Grand Marnier, and then the chocolate chips. Place the lid on it and let it all melt together. Stir the mixture occasionally. As I said before, it can take anywhere from 30-45 minutes.
- I'm not going to lie - after this photoshoot, I literally stuffed all of this in my mouth. Hubby was out, and I just couldn't wait for him. It's fruit, so it's basically healthy, right?
- Please make this for your sweetheart for Valentine's Day or a crowd at your next get-together - everyone will be thoroughly impressed. And the hardest thing you will have to do is slice a banana or pineapple ;-)Cheers!-Aileen
10 BEST TYPES OF CHOCOLATE FOR FONDUE - EDIBLE® BLOG
From blog.ediblearrangements.com
- Milk Chocolate. Milk chocolate is probably the first thing you consider when you think of chocolate. It’s sweet and delicious. Milk chocolate is great for fondue because it melts easily and tastes great, but it might actually be too sweet for some, especially when paired with other sweet treats.
- White Chocolate. White chocolate is made from cocoa butter, sugar, milk solids, and vanilla. White chocolate creates a different kind of fondue than milk chocolate, but it’s just as enjoyable.
- Semisweet Chocolate. Semisweet chocolate contains about 35 percent cocoa. It strikes a middle ground between milk chocolate, which is the sweetest type of chocolate, and dark chocolate.
- Bittersweet Chocolate. Most bittersweet chocolate contains about 50 percent cocoa. It has a dark and rich flavor but is less overpowering than dark chocolate.
- Dark Chocolate. Dark chocolate contains the most cocoa of any type of chocolate, making it the most bitter, but also the most flavorful. Dark chocolate makes a unique and flavorful fondue that pairs well with sweet treats, like pound cake and brownies.
- Couverture Chocolate. Couverture chocolate is made with a higher percentage of cocoa butter which provides a smooth and glossy finish. Couverture is the type of chocolate many professionals choose for dipping or coating.
- A Mix of Chocolates. Can’t decide which chocolate to choose? There’s no rule that says you can’t mix different chocolates together to create a wonderful confection.
- Chocolate Morsels. Choose chocolate morsels or chocolate chips in your favorite type of chocolate for easy melting. You can find chocolate chips in white, milk chocolate, semisweet, dark, and more.
- Melting Wafers. Chocolate wafers or melting waters are designed specifically for melting. In fact, many types of melting wafers don’t even require extra ingredients.
- Compound Chocolate. Compound chocolate is made from cocoa, vegetable fat, and sugar. It is a lower-cost option as compared to chocolate made with cocoa butter, but it still tastes pretty great.
