I have been making this pie every Thanksgiving and it's usually the first pie to finish. This recipe makes two pies.

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 ½ cups chopped pecans
2 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crusts

Steps:

  • Blend together the cream cheese and condensed milk; gently fold in the whipped topping.
  • Stir in the crushed pineapple and pecans; pour into pie crusts and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours.

Million Dollar pie is an easy no bake pie recipe featuring pineapple and condensed milk. Perfect to bring to any party or gathering. Tips for a lighter version are also included.

20 ounce Crushed Pineapple (drained )
1/2 cup pecans (Reserve 2 tablespoons of pecans for topping, the rest of the chopped pecans go in the filling)
14 ounce Sweetened Condensed Milk
3/4 cup sweetened shredded Coconut (DIVIDED 1/2 cup in filling, 1/4 cup on top)
2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
8 ounce Cool Whip type non-dairy frozen whipped topping (thawed)
2 Graham Cracker Pie Crusts (prepared crust or homemade)
16 Maraschino Cherries (for garnish)

Steps:

  • Mix drained pineapple tidbits, 1/4 cup of the pecans, 1/2 cup of the coconut flakes, sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice together in a large bowl.
  • Then fold in the whipped topping.
  • Pour pie filling mixture into the graham cracker crust evenly and sprinkle the remaining shredded coconut and pecans over the pie.
  • Arrange cherries on top, then freeze for a minimum of 4 hours before serving.

This luscious, silky pie calls for a baked pie shell, and the flaky contrast with the gooey filling is really good. But if you're running short on time, you can substitute a graham cracker crust to eliminate that step. Do remember to chill the pineapple though. Simply put the can in the refrigerator as soon as you bring it home from the grocery store. Taken from the "From Storebought to Homemade" cookbook. Note: cooking time is refrigeration time.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup crushed pineapple, drained and chilled
1 (12 ounce) container Cool Whip, at room temperature
1/2 cup pecans, chopped (optional)

Steps:

  • If using a traditional pastry shell, bake it according to package directions.
  • Combine the cream cheese, sugar, pineapple and Cool Whip; blend well.
  • Transfer the filling to the pie shell and, if you wish, sprinkle the top with chopped pecans.
  • Cover and chill for several hours.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 cup grated coconut
1 cup chopped pecans
1 (8 ounce) carton whipped topping, thawed (OR 2 cups whipping cream, whipped and sweetened with 3 tablespoons of sugar)
prepared 9 inch pie shell or graham cracker crust

Steps:

  • Cream together the softened cream cheese and the sugar with an electric mixer, letting the mixer run for 3 or 4 minutes on high speed.
  • Stir into the cream cheese mixture the crushed pineapple, coconut and pecans, and mix well.
  • Carefully fold in half of the whipped topping until filling is blended well.
  • Reserve remaining half for top (see below).
  • Pour filling into a prepared crust, and chill for several hours.
  • Notes: Millionaire Pie can be garnished with a dollop of the whipped topping when served, or you can spread the remaining half of the topping over the whole pie and garnish with a sprinkling of chopped pecans.
