2 cups boiling water
4 tablespoons lard
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon salt
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon yeast
6 cups flour

Steps:

  • proof yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water (it says yeast cake soaked i hour ).
  • pour boiling water over lard
  • add sugar.
  • and salt.
  • cool
  • add beaten eggs
  • and yeast
  • add enough flour to make stiff dough
  • let dough rise until double
  • shape into buns
  • let rise again
  • bake in 425 degree oven 15 minutes (im guessing on time and temp since its not on recipe ).

1/2 cup shortening
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup nuts
4 egg whites

Steps:

  • cream sugar and shortening.
  • beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  • sift dry ingredients together
  • add to creamed miixture
  • add milk and vanilla
  • add nuts
  • fold in egg whites gently DONT OVERMIX.
  • pour into greased floured 9x13 cake pan
  • BAKE AT 300 DEGREES FOR 30 TO 35 MINUTES TIL TOOTHPICK COMES CLEAN.

1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 quart tomatoes
1 onion
1 tablespoon molasses
1/2 teaspoon mcness mustard
1/2 lb salt pork
salt
pepper

Steps:

  • parboil beans and soda in water enough to cover
  • drain.
  • add tomatoes
  • chop onion fine add to beans
  • add rest of ingredients
  • mix
  • and bake in moderate oven 375 degrees for 3 to 4 hours keep checking water level.
  • im guessing your going to have add more water and the mustard is dry mustard from the amount.

  • add flour dont brown
  • add tomato juice
  • add 1 # 303 can pork and beans
  • season to taste with salt and pepper
  • add small tablespoon chili powder
  • add more if you like s9immer a few minutes.

1/2 cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon salt
4 teaspoons yeast
1 cup warm water
7 1/2 cups flour

Steps:

  • Add lard, sugar and salt to boiling water.
  • Let cool.
  • Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  • Add to sugar mixture.
  • Make a well and stir water mixture into flour.
  • Knead.
  • Make into balls and let rise 3 hours in warm place.
  • Nake in moderate oven
  • I'm guessing 20 minutes or until browned.
