You don't need Christmas magic to make these appealing cookies. All it takes is 15 minutes and 5 ingredients!

2 tablespoons Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy chocolate frosting (from 1-lb container)
24 miniature candy-coated semisweet chocolate baking bits
1 package (12 oz) chocolate-covered marshmallow pinwheel cookies (12 cookies)
12 small gumdrops
24 pretzel twists

Steps:

  • Spread frosting on 1 side of each baking bit; attach 2 to top of each cookie for eyes.
  • Spread frosting on wide end of each gumdrop; attach at hole of each cookie for nose.
  • Break pretzels to look like antlers (see photo). Insert 2 pretzel pieces in top of each cookie for antlers.

3 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick oatmeal

Steps:

  • Combine sugar, milk, butter, & cocoa in a saucepan and cook over medium-high heat until it boils.
  • Boil and stir for one minute.
  • Add remaining ingredients and stir.
  • Quickly spoon cookie size pieces on wax paper and allow to cool.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/4 cup horehound leaves
2 cups water
honey
2 cups sugar
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Boil the horehound leaves in the 2 cups water for 10 minutes; discard leaves.
  • Add twice as much honey as the remaining liquid and stir the mixture smooth.
  • Then blend 2 cups of sugar with 1/8 tsp.
  • of cream of tartar in a saucepan, and add the honey-horehound mixture.
  • Stir over medium heat until sugar melts.
  • Then lower flame and continue stirring till a dollop of the candy forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water.
  • At that point, pour syrup into buttered baking dish and cut into small squares as candy begins to harden.
  • Finally, roll in confectioners sugar and then granulated sugar and store in airtight containers.

1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup chopped dried apricots
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup chopped pecans
2 tablespoons chopped candied cherries
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup refrigerated Holiday Cookie Dough
ICING:
3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1/8 teaspoon rum extract
3 to 4 teaspoons orange juice
12 red candied cherries, halved

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the orange juice, apricots, cranberries and raisins. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 4-6 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Cool to room temperature; stir in the pecans, cherries and nutmeg., Let cookie dough stand at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften. In a large bowl, combine dough and fruit mixture., Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 12-14 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely., For icing, combine the confectioners' sugar, extract and enough orange juice to achieve desired consistency. Spread over cookies. Top each with a candied cherry piece.
