Pan-Seared Pork Tenderloin with Rosemary Balsamic and Orange Sauce image

Provided by Kelsey Nixon

Categories     main-dish

Time 1h10m

Yield 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 21

6 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
2 teaspoons freshly grated orange zest
2 teaspoons minced fresh rosemary leaves
2 1/2 pounds pork tenderloins (about 2 large), trimmed
1 large shallot, minced
1/2 cup red wine
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth or stock
3 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary leaves
1 teaspoon freshly grated orange zest
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 to 3 tablespoons minced shallot or onion
1/2 cup wine
1/2 cup low-sodium broth or stock
3 tablespoons cold unsalted butter or heavy cream
Vinegar or lemon juice, to taste
Fresh herbs or other aromatics
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Mix 3 tablespoons olive oil, freshly ground black pepper, salt, orange zest, and minced rosemary in a small bowl. Rub the oil mixture all over the trimmed pork tenderloins and place them in a large baking dish. Cover and let the pork marinate 20 minutes.
  • Heat the remaining 3 tablespoons oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and sear, cooking until browned on all sides. Remove the pork tenderloins from the skillet and place into an oven-safe dish; cover. Roast the pork until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat reads about 145 degrees F, about 15 minutes.
  • For the pan sauce: Pour off the majority of the cooking fat leaving any browned bits in the pan. Heat the pan over medium-high heat and add the shallot and the wine. Continue cooking until most of the wine has cooked off, scraping the browned bits off the bottom of the pan.
  • Add the broth and continue cooking until the sauce has reduced by half. Remove from the heat. Stir in the butter, one piece at a time, until fully incorporated.
  • Stir in the balsamic vinegar, rosemary, orange zest, salt, and pepper, to taste. Let the pork rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Drizzle the pork with the balsamic pan sauce.
  • After searing the pork tenderloins, pour off the majority of the cooking fat leaving any browned bits. Heat the pan over medium-high heat and add the shallots and wine. Continue cooking until most of the wine has cooked off, scraping the bits off the bottom of the pan.
  • Add the broth or stock and continue cooking until the sauce has reduced by half. Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the butter, 1 tablespoon at a time, until fully incorporated.
  • Add the vinegar, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper, to taste. Spoon the sauce over the pork or meat and serve.

Provided by brendaz

Number Of Ingredients 11

Glaze:
1 Pork tenderloin (about 1- 1 1/2 pounds)
2 tsp. hot chili oil
2 tsp. olive oil
Salt and pepper
3 Tbsp. Hoisin sauce
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. Sriracha sauce

HOISIN-GLAZED PORK TENDERLOIN WITH SCALLION RICE, PONZU ROASTED GREEN BEANS & SPICY MAYO

Hoisin-Glazed Pork Tenderloin with Scallion Rice, Ponzu Roasted Green Beans & Spicy Mayo image

One of our favorite ways to add tons of flavor to any protein in mere minutes? Whipping up a delectable glaze. Here, we blend tangy, barbecue-like hoisin sauce with aromatic garlic powder, then pour the mixture over pork tenderloin in the last few minutes of roasting for deliciously sticky-sweet results. More of the glaze is drizzled over the pork just before serving for good measure; then, it's all paired with fluffy rice, ponzu roasted green beans, and spicy mayo. Now THAT'S what we call a winning dinner!

Provided by HelloFresh

Categories     main course

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 14

2 unit Scallions
6 ounce Green Beans
2 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
½ cup Jasmine Rice
12 ounce Pork Tenderloin
2 tablespoon Mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Sriracha
6 milliliters Ponzu Sauce
1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1 tablespoon Butter
Kosher Salt
Pepper

Steps:

  • • Adjust rack to middle position (middle and top positions for 4 servings) and preheat oven to 450 degrees. Wash and dry all produce. • Trim and thinly slice scallions, separating whites from greens. Trim green beans if necessary. • In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine hoisin, ¼ tsp garlic powder (½ tsp for 4), and 1 TBSP water (2 TBSP for 4). (You'll use more garlic powder later.) Microwave until warmed through, 30 seconds.
  • • Heat a drizzle of oil in a small pot over medium-high heat. Add scallion whites; cook until softened, 1 minute. • Stir in rice, ¾ cup water (1½ cups for 4 servings), and a big pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce to low heat. Cook until rice is tender, 15-18 minutes. • Keep covered off heat until ready to serve.
  • • While rice cooks, pat pork* dry with paper towels; season all over with salt and pepper. • Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add pork and sear, turning occasionally, until browned all over, 4-8 minutes. • Transfer pork to one side of a baking sheet. (For 4 servings, spread pork out across entire sheet.) TIP: For easy cleanup, line sheet with foil first.
  • • On opposite side of sheet from pork, toss green beans with a drizzle of oil, salt, and pepper. (For 4 servings, add green beans to a second baking sheet; roast pork on middle rack and green beans on top rack.) • Roast on middle rack until pork is cooked through and green beans are tender, 10-12 minutes. • In the last 3-5 minutes, remove sheet from oven; carefully pour half the hoisin glaze (save the rest for serving) over pork, turning to coat. Return to oven until glaze is tacky. • Transfer pork to a cutting board. Let rest at least 5 minutes, then thinly slice crosswise.
  • • Meanwhile, in a second small bowl, combine mayonnaise, remaining garlic powder to taste, and as much sriracha as you like. Stir in water 1 tsp at a time until mixture reaches a drizzling consistency.
  • • Fluff rice with a fork; stir in 1 TBSP butter (2 TBSP for 4 servings) and season with salt and pepper. Toss green beans with ponzu and half the sesame seeds. • Divide rice, green beans, and pork between plates. Drizzle pork with remaining hoisin glaze; drizzle everything with as much sriracha mayo as you like. Top with scallion greens and as many remaining sesame seeds as you like. Serve.

HOISIN-GLAZED PORK BOWL WITH VEGETABLES

Hoisin-Glazed Pork Bowl With Vegetables image

Inspired by Chinese char siu pork, this weeknight recipe uses an easy cooking method that yields a tasty sauce with a subtle sweetness. The tangy hoisin marinade for the pork can do its job in just 24 seconds or 24 hours. It coats the tenderloin as it cooks, leaving behind caramelized bits in the bottom of pan, which then get deglazed to create a dressing that flavors the rice. As for the garnishes, use as many crisp-tender vegetables as you like, and change them up as you please. Sugar snap peas would be good here, as would shredded napa cabbage, or just about anything fresh and crunchy.

Time 40m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 17

1/2 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
2 teaspoons Sriracha
1 large garlic clove, grated on a Microplane
1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
1 pork tenderloin (about 1 to 1 1/4 pounds), cut crosswise into thirds
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
2 small carrots, peeled
2 large radishes (such as watermelon), or 4 small
4 scallions
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
4 cups cooked brown or black rice
2 ounces snow peas, trimmed
Pickled ginger (optional)

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine hoisin, ketchup, honey, ginger, Sriracha, garlic and five-spice powder.
  • Season pork with 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper, then add to the marinade. Toss to evenly coat, cover, and set aside. You can let the pork marinate, covered and refrigerated for up to 24 hours, or you can cook it right away.
  • Heat oven to 375 degrees. Heat oil in a large (12-inch) nonstick, oven-proof skillet over medium-high. Remove pork from marinade, letting excess drip back into the bowl. (Reserve marinade.) Sear pork for 2 to 3 minutes on the first side and about 2 minutes on the other, until nicely browned and caramelized.
  • Remove from heat and pour remaining marinade over the pork, turning to coat evenly. Transfer pan to the oven and cook, turning in the sauce occasionally, for 10 to 20 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer reads 145 degrees. (The smallest piece of pork, from the thin end of the tenderloin will be done first, so begin checking temperature at 10 minutes and remove pieces from the oven as they are done.)
  • Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables: Use a peeler to shave the carrots lengthwise into strips. Slice the radishes paper-thin using a mandoline. Thinly slice the scallions on an angle.
  • Transfer pork to a plate and set aside to rest. Add rice wine vinegar and 2 tablespoons of water to the skillet and cook over medium-high, stirring constantly until you have a smooth sauce, adding more water if needed. It should be the consistency of heavy cream. Transfer to a small bowl, stirring in any juices that accumulated from the plate with the pork.
  • Distribute rice among 4 bowls. Thinly slice the pork and divide among the bowls. Drizzle the sauce over the pork and rice and garnish each bowl with the carrots, radishes, scallions, snow peas and pickled ginger, if using. Serve immediately.

SWEET AND SPICY HOISIN GLAZED PORK TENDERLOIN ROAST

Sweet and Spicy Hoisin Glazed Pork Tenderloin Roast image

This is probably one of the best pork tenderloin dishes I have ever had!!! To keep the meat moist and tender, the tenderloins are first subjected to a salt bath or brining...then finished off on the barbecue with a sweet and spicy hoisin glaze.

Brush top of roast with amount 1 tablespoon glaze and grill, glaze side down, until glaze begins to char, 2 - 3 minutes; repeat glazing and grilling with remaining 3 sides of roast, until meat registers 140 degrees.

1 cup honey
2 tablespoons ancho powder, plus more for seasoning the pork
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
