Paneer Jhalfrezi 10 Minutes Recipe is a quick version of delicious and popular restaurant style recipe. It is made with easily available ingredients and comes together in 10 minutes. It is that easy. You can make it vegan by using Extra Firm Tofu.

12 ounce/ 350 grams Paneer (cut into 1 inch pieces)
1 large Green Bell Peppers/Capsicum (cut into 1 inch pieces)
1 large Red Onion (cut into 1 inch pieces)
1 large Tomato, firm (cut into 1 inch pieces)
1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
1 small Green Chili (chopped fine)
1/2 Tbsp + 1/2 Tbsp + 1 tsp Cooking Oil
1 Tbsp Coriander powder
1/2 Tsp Red Chili powder
1/2 tsp - 1 tsp Garam Masala
1 Tsp Kasuri Methi (crushed)
To taste Salt
2 Tbsp Ketchup, this is the secret ingredient
1/4 Cup Water

Steps:

  • Heat 1/2 tbsp oil in hard anodized or non stick pan. Add chopped onion and bell pepper pieces to the pan in the hot oil. Sauté them for 3 minutes on high flame. Stir constantly. Take these out and set aside.
  • Now heat another 1/2 tbsp oil to the same pan. Add Paneer cubes and cook on high flame while tossing them and grilling them from all over, for 3 minutes. Take these out and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add heat 1 tsp oil on medium heat. Add green chili, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam Masala, and salt to the oi. Saute for few seconds till raw smell of ginger garlic is gone. Add Ketchup and water to the pan. Stir the spices, ketchup and water together. Cook on low heat for 1 minute.This is your quick jhalfrezi sauce.
  • Toss the paneer, bell pepper and onion pieces in the quick jhalfrezi sauce for 1 minute. Add Tomato pieces and Stir well. Cook for another 2 minutes and switch off the gas
  • Your Quick Paneer Jhalfezi is ready in 10 minutes.
  • Serving Suggestion - Serve with Naan, Roti, Parantha of your choice.

½ cup margarine
1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup white sugar
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, at room temperature
½ cup confectioners' sugar
2 cups frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®), thawed
3 cups milk
1 (5.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
12 chocolate wafer cookies, crushed

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Place margarine, flour, and white sugar into a bowl, and cut with a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press the mixture into a 10x10-inch square baking dish, and bake in the preheated oven until the crust is lightly browned, about 25 minutes. Let the crust cool.
  • Place the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar into a mixing bowl, and beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gently stir in the whipped topping until well combined, and spread the mixture over the crust in an even layer.
  • Place milk in a mixing bowl, and beat the chocolate and vanilla pudding mixes into the milk with an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and thickened, about 2 minutes. Spread the pudding layer over the cream cheese layer.
  • Pour the cream into a mixing bowl, and whip to soft peaks with an electric mixer. Lightly spread the whipped cream over the pudding layer, and sprinkle top with chocolate wafer crumbs. Refrigerate the dessert for at least 1 hour before serving.

1 gallon milk
1 quart buttermilk
1 cup canola oil for frying

Steps:

  • Pour the gallon of milk into a large pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Watch carefully, as it will boil over almost as soon as it starts to boil. As the milk begins to boil, pour the buttermilk into the pot in a steady stream while stirring constantly. The milk will separate into curd and water.
  • Place a cheesecloth into a colander, and pour the milk mixture through it. Reserve some of the liquid for later. Let the milk mixture sit in the colander for a couple of hours, or until it stops dripping.
  • After the curds are strained and settled, transfer them to a food processor. Process until smooth. It should be able to form a ball if it is the right consistency. If it is too dry, add a little of the reserved liquid and process again. The consistency should be like a firm ricotta cheese.
  • Turn the cheese out onto a clean surface, and knead until smooth. Form into a ball, and wrap in plastic. Refrigerate until needed.
  • To cook the paneer, heat the oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Cut the paneer into bite size pieces. Fry for about 1 minute, or until a very pale golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Add to your favorite curry or dish.

If you bake and cook everyday then this is a must to have in your cupboard, it's so much cheaper than using cooking spray and works even better than Pam cooking spray, no chemical fumes and will not leave burnt on black residue on the edges of your pans like cooking spray will and will keep forever in your cupboard --- for baking recipes using chocolate you may use 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder in place of white flour or 1/4 cup each cocoa powder and flour --- this may be increased or decreased sucessfully just make certain that *all* three ingredients are the same amounts or the mixture will not work as well ;-)

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  • Using an electric mixer beat until mixture has increased in volume slightly and resembles marshmallow cream.
  • Place in a container with a lid and store on the counter or in a cupboard (in hot weather it may be refrigerated).
  • The mixture tends to separate slightly upon sitting in your cupboard or refrigerator so mix before using, then brush pans using a pastry brush or a clean paper towel.
