Homemade Peaches and Cream Ice Cream image

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 and 1/2 cups cream (I used raw cream)
1 cup whole milk, preferably raw
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup honey
2 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of celtic sea salt (like this)
2 and 1/2 ripe peaches, cut into small 1/2 inch pieces (divided into 1 cup and 1 and 1/2 cups)

Steps:

  • Place ice cream maker canister in freezer to chill (some models require extended freeze time so plan ahead.)
  • Combine all of the ingredients, except for 1 and 1/2 cup chopped peaches, in a blender and process until smooth and well combined.
  • Add the rest of the chopped peaches and pour into chilled ice cream canister.
  • Assemble ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions and process for 25-45 minutes, depending on your machine. Makes a little over a quart of ice cream.
  • Serve immediately or store in freezer..... enjoy!!!

2 1/2 cups half-and-half or 2 1/2 cups light cream
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (Neufchatel) or 1 (8 ounce) package reduced-fat cream cheese, softened (Neufchatel)
2 cups unsweetened fresh peaches (thawed) or 2 cups unsweetened frozen sliced peaches (thawed)
1/2 teaspoon finely shredded lemon peel
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan combine 1-1/2 cups of the half-and-half or light cream, granulated and brown sugars, and eggs.
  • Cook and stir over medium heat just until boiling; remove from heat. (Mixture will appear curdled.) Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth; gradually beat in hot mixture.
  • Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • In a blender container or food processor bowl blend or process half of the peaches, covered, until nearly smooth.
  • Coarsely chop remaining peaches and set aside.
  • Stir remaining half-and-half, pureed peaches, lemon peel, lemon juice, and vanilla into chilled mixture.
  • Freeze in a 4 or 5 quart ice-cream freezer according to manufacturer's directions.
  • Stir in chopped peaches.
  • Ripen 4 hours.

Steps:

1 (21 ounce) can peach pie filling
½ cup flour

3 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
½ cup sliced almonds

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Separate crescent dough into 2 long rectangles. Place crescent dough onto an ungreased 9x13-inch pan and press dough to cover the bottom of the pan, sealing perforations.
  • Combine cream cheese, sugar, and almond extract in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over dough. Spoon fruit filling evenly over cream cheese mixture.
  • Combine flour, brown sugar, and margarine in a bowl. Mix until crumbly and sprinkle crumb mixture over fruit filling. Top with almonds.

⅓ cup white sugar, or to taste
¼ cup water
1 ½ cups heavy cream

Steps:

  • Cut each peach in half along the crease, twist open, and remove the pit. Peel and slice. Cut slices in half to get roughly 2 cups of sliced peaches.
  • Bring sugar and water to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Boil until a syrup forms, about 3 minutes. Stir in peaches until coated. Bring syrup back to a light simmer, about 1 minute. Immediately remove from heat and pour mixture into a bowl.
  • Transfer peaches into a large bowl using a slotted spoon. Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine. Divide mixture between serving glasses, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until completely chilled and cream has absorbed all the peach flavor, at least 3 hours.

2 1/4 cups turbinado sugar
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
6 eggs, beaten
24 ounces cream cheese, softened (can use reduced-fat cream cheese)
6 cups fresh peaches
3 cups pureed peaches
3 cups coarsely chopped peaches
1 1/2 tablespoons finely shredded lemon rind
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla bean paste
1 1/2 cups crushed waffle cones or 1 1/2 cups butter waffle cookies
1 1/2 cups diced fresh peaches, sprinkled with 1 to 2 tablespoons turbinado sugar and a splash of bourbon, if desired

Steps:

  • 3-41Combine 5 cups half-and-half, turbinado sugar, brown sugar and beaten eggs in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stirring well, cook until just before boiling-little bubbles will form along the rim of the pot. Remove from heat and set aside. The mixture may look curdled.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Slowly pour in hot mixture, continuing to beat. Cover and refrigerate until completely chilled-at least 2 hours.
  • Stir in remaining 3 cups half-and-half, 3 cups puréed peaches, lemon rind and juice, and vanilla bean paste. Freeze in a 6-quart ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions. When the ice cream is almost fully churned, fold in the coarsely chopped peaches.
