PEANUT BUTTER AND BACON TURKEY BURGERS

4 slices bacon (cooked crisp)
1 pound 99% fat free ground turkey
1/2 cup Hellmann's® mayonnaise (divided)
2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
2 tbsp dill pickle (chopped)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic salt
2 tbsp vegetable oil
4 pretzel buns

Steps:

  • In a large bowl add the ground turkey, 1/4 cup of Hellmann's® mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce and garlic salt. Mix well and form into four patties.
  • Heat a large, non stick skillet over medium heat. Add the oil and heat until shimmering. Add the burgers and cook on the first side until browned - about 5 minutes. Flip the burgers and reduce the heat to low. Cover with a lid and cook the burgers until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
  • Meanwhile, in a smaller bowl mix together the remaining 1/4 cup Hellmann's® mayonnaise, peanut butter and chopped pickle until smooth.
  • When burgers are cooked through, serve them on a pretzel bun topped with one bacon slice and a generous dollop of the peanut butter and mayonnaise sauce.

5 pounds ground Angus beef (preferred lean/fat content 80/20)
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon seasoning salt
1/2 tablespoon cracked peppercorn
3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
8 ounces applewood smoked bacon
White burger buns
Creamy peanut butter
20 slices American cheese

Steps:

  • Combine the beef with the sea salt, seasoning salt, pepper and garlic. Create 10 beef balls. Place the balls individually between waxed paper and slightly press the center to create your patties. Place the patties on a lined cookie sheet, ready to be placed on the grill.
  • On the stove, fry the bacon to desired texture over medium-heat.
  • Turn your chargrill to medium-high and place the burgers on it once it is hot. Cook the first side until the edges are caramelized and browned, 3 to 5 minutes. Flip the burgers and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes. Be careful not to pierce the meat or overcook. Set aside and let them rest for another 3 to 5 minutes. Before you turn off the grill, lightly toast the white burger buns.
  • Dress each side of the white burger buns with creamy peanut butter and 2 slices American cheese. Place the burgers on top of the cheese and add the cooked bacon.

¼ cup seasoned bread crumbs
¼ cup finely diced onion
2 egg whites, lightly beaten
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, seasoned bread crumbs, onion, egg whites, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into 12 patties.
  • Cook the patties in a medium skillet over medium heat, turning once, to an internal temperature of 180 degrees F (85 degrees C).

1 1/2 lbs lean ground turkey
1/4 cup peanut butter (more or less to taste)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon garlic clove (minced)
4 English muffins (Multigrain works well with the flavors)

Steps:

  • Mix turkey, peanut butter, soy sauce and garlic together and form into 4 burgers. Cook over medium heat approximately 5 minutes per side until throughly cooked.
  • Serve on English muffins. Top with whatever you usually put on burgers -- I suggest sliced onion and Havarti, Chedder, or swiss cheese.

I actually came up with this recipe when my son was being sarcastic and said, "Mom! You eat WAYYY too much peanut butter! I can't believe you don't put it on your burger, too!" Ta-da! This yummy concoction was born! It may sound odd, but it's SOOO good!

pinch(es) seasoning salt
- peanut butter
8 slice(s) cooked bacon (crunchier the better)
4 - hamburger buns
- olive oil (to cover bottom of pan)

Steps:

  • Form the ground turkey into well packed patties, salt each side lightly with seasoning salt, and then cook in a lightly oiled skillet (flipping occasionaly) until cooked through.
  • Remove patties to paper towels to drain excess fat.
  • Split the hamburger buns and spread one side with peanut butter, and then two pieces of bacon.
  • Add one turkey burger, top with top half of bun and enjoy!
