A childhood neighbor's mom used to make these for us. You can use any kind of meat and cheese - even dressing for that matter. I have made ham and chedder and salami and mozzeralla but pepperoni and american is the "tradition".

Number Of Ingredients 4

10 slices pepperoni, diced
2 slices American cheese, diced
2 tablespoons prepared Italian dressing
1 package crescent roll

Steps:

  • Mix pepperoni, cheese and Italian dressing in small bowl.
  • Unroll crescent rolls and seperate into 2 rectangles- pinch perforations together so they won't seperate.
  • Spoon 1/2 of pepperoni mixture onto each rectangle.
  • Starting at short side roll dough jellyroll style.
  • Slice rolls into about 1/2 inch slices.
  • Place flat on greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until just browned.

1/2 cup diced pepperoni
1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1 large egg, separated
1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a small bowl, combine the pepperoni, cheese, oregano and egg yolk. In another small bowl, whisk egg white until foamy; set aside. Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles; seal perforations. , Spread pepperoni mixture over each rectangle to within 1/4 in. of edges. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a short side; pinch seams to seal. Cut each into 6 slices. , Place cut side down on greased baking sheets; brush tops with egg white. Bake until golden brown, 12-15 minutes. Serve warm. Refrigerate leftovers.

These Pepperoni Crescent Pinwheels are a "wheel shaped" snack to go with a cycling theme or just for fun. These are pretty easy to make and would be a good snack for a meeting.

pepperoni
mozzerella cheese
oregano
egg
refrigerated crescent rolls

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Separate the egg. Put the yolk in one bowl and the white in the other.
  • Dice the pepperoni and place it in the bowl with the yolk.
  • Add the cheese and oregano to the egg yolk and pepperoni.
  • Beat the egg white with the fork.
  • Separate crescent dough into four rectangles and seal the perforations.
  • Spread pepperoni mixture over each rectangle to within 1/4 in. of edges.
  • Roll up the rolls starting with a short side; pinch seams to seal.
  • Cut each roll into six slices.
  • Place cut side down on greased baking sheets; brush the tops with egg white.
  • Bake for 12 to15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm.

1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
24 slices pepperoni
1 (14 ounce) can pizza sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • On a large baking sheet, pinch the 8 crescent roll dough triangles into 4 rectangles. Layer each rectangle with 6 slices of pepperoni and even amounts of mozzarella cheese. Roll tightly lengthwise and slice each into 4 or more pieces.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 12 minutes. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
