PHILLY CHEESESTEAK MEATLOAF
I found this on my friend's Facebook post. Thought I'd make the U.S. conversions for everyone and save it here for all to enjoy! Recipe by Tom via Twisted Food's website. Others have recommended pre-frying the bacon for a couple minutes so it can cook all the way through in the oven and not be soft.

Steps:
- In a skillet heat oil over medium high heat. Add onion, green pepper and 1 tsp salt. Cook until onion is softened and just starting to carmelize.
- Mix remaining spices into ground beef and spread out onto small cookie sheet covered with foil.
- Layer cheese slices over ground beef and cover with peppers and onions. Roll into a log. .
- Line another sheet of foil with bacon and roll up ground beef log.
- Bake in 360°F Oven, covered with foil for 20 minute Remove foil and bake another 30 minute.

Steps:
- Place the sliced beef in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and italian seasoning.
- Sprinkle over beef and stir to combine.
- Heat half the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Saute beef to desired doneness, and remove from pan, keep warm.
- Meanwhile heat remaining oil in skillet, and saute the onion, green peppers and mushrooms until tender, with green peppers still somewhat crisp.
- Add steak to veggies and keep warm.
- Preheat oven to broil.
- Butter hoagie buns and lay a slice of cheese, (torn in half) over the bottom of each bun.
- Divide steak and veggies over buns, add another slice of divided cheese.
- Lay on foil lined cookie sheet (keep top bun to the side so that it broils also) Broil just until cheese melts, remove from broiler, cover with top half of bun.

- In a large skillet over medium high heat, bring butter and cooking oil to a sizzle. Cook onions and bell peppers until softened and lightly caramelized.
- In a large bowl mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, garlic powder, worcestershire sauce and salt & pepper.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and place half of the meat mixture into the center of parchment paper and form an oval shape about 1 inch thick. Press center of the meat mixture into a bowl shape. Place 3 slices of cheese into center of bowl. Place all cooked onions and peppers on top of cheese. Cover with additional 3 slices of cheese. Take remaining meat mixture and cover the top layer of cheese. Make sure to seal the top meat mixture to the bottom meat mixture to keep filling and cheese in.
- Bake for 45 minutes to an hour until meat loaf is done and temperature of the meatloaf is 165 degrees. Pull meatloaf out of oven and place remaining cheese slices on top. Place back in oven for 15 minutes to lightly brown and melt the cheese. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
