DILL PICKLE BLOODY MARY

Here's a twist on your usual Bloody Mary. This is enough for four drinks to share with your brunch buddies. Prepare them the night before serving for optimum flavor.

4 tablespoons dill pickle juice
1 tablespoon sriracha salt
1 tablespoon celery seed
½ tablespoon ground black pepper
4 cups vegetable juice (such as V8®)
¾ cup vodka
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
¼ teaspoon powdered horseradish
4 dashes hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®), or to taste
4 bamboo skewers
4 pickled eggs
4 pickled okra spears
4 dill pickles
8 ice cubes
4 celery stalks

Steps:

  • Pour dill pickle juice into a shallow plate. Combine sriracha salt, celery seed, and black pepper on another shallow plate.
  • One-by-one, dip the rims of 4 glasses first into the dill pickle juice and then into the salt mixture to coat the rims. Place glasses into the refrigerator or freezer. Pour remaining dill pickle juice and salt mixture into a large pitcher. Add vegetable juice, vodka, lime juice, horseradish powder, and hot sauce. Mix well. Allow Bloody Mary mixture to rest for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • Slide 1 pickled egg, 1 pickled okra spear, and 1 dill pickle onto each bamboo skewer.
  • Before serving, add 2 two ice cubes, 1 loaded bamboo skewer, and 1 celery stalk to each rimmed glass. Give the Bloody Mary pitcher a stir and pour evenly into the 4 prepared glasses. Serve immediately.

3 cups low-sodium vegetable juice
1 ½ cups dill pickle juice plus 8 pickle spears (from a 24-ounce jar)
1 ½ cups vodka
Juice of 1 large lemon, plus 1 lemon cut into 8 slices, divided
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon ground pepper
8 pitted olives
8 spicy pickled string beans
Ice and lime wedges for serving
8 stalks celery

Steps:

  • Mix vegetable juice, pickle juice, vodka, lemon juice, hot sauce, horseradish, Worcestershire and pepper in a large pitcher.
  • Thread 1 olive, 1 pickled bean and 1 lemon slice onto each of 8 skewers.
  • Fill 8 glasses with ice. Stir the mix in the pitcher to make sure it is well combined, then divide among the glasses. Garnish each with 1 vegetable skewer, 1 celery stalk, 1 pickle spear and a lime wedge, if desired. Serve immediately.

4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon horseradish

Steps:

  • For the garnish skewers: Stack each of 4 skewers with an okra spear, olive, lime wedge and sport pepper.
  • For the bloody Mary: Add tomato juice, vodka, brine, lime juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire and horseradish to a pitcher. Stir vigorously to combine. Pour into 4 tall glasses filled with ice. Garnish with skewers.

4 dashes Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Pour chili-lime seasoning onto a small plate. Rub the edge of a pint-sized jar with 1 lime wedge. Dip the edge of the jar into the seasoning. Fill jar with 1 cup ice and set aside.

1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon cumin seeds, lightly toasted
8 garlic cloves
20 fresh jalapenos
2 small red onions, cut into 1/4-inch-thick rings

Steps:

  • Bring vinegar, 1 cup water, salt, sugar, cumin, and garlic to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add jalapenos and onions; boil 5 minutes. Let cool completely, about 45 minutes. Refrigerate in an airtight container at least 1 week or up to 1 month.

Steps:

  • Rub lemon or lime around rim of glass and then put the rim in margarita salt or Tony Chachers, if desired.
  • Add ice to glass.
  • Mix Vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, salt, Pepper, celery salt and horseradish (if using) and pour in glass.
  • Garnish with lemon or lime wedge, celery stalk, green onion or pickled green bean.
