1 (1 liter) bottle bottled margarita mix
2 ½ cups tequila (such as 1800® Premium Reposado)
½ cup orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)
¼ cup raspberry liqueur (such as Chambord®)
2 tablespoons salt, or as needed
2 limes, cut into wedges
crushed ice

Steps:

  • Mix margarita mix, tequila, orange liqueur, and raspberry liqueur together in a pitcher.
  • Place salt on a small, shallow plate. Moisten rims of 8 margarita glasses with a wedge of lime; dip the rims to coat with salt. Squeeze some lime juice into each glass. Add ice. Pour margarita mixture over ice.

This Margaritaville Pink Cadillac Margarita doesn't just look good - it tastes pretty amazing too!

1 1/2 ounces tequila, (use margaritaville last mango)
1/2 ounce triple sec
1/2 cup margarita mix, or use margaritaville mix
1 ounce cranberry juice

Steps:

  • Traditional margaritas are known for their salted rim, but you can have a little fun with this one, and combine salt and sugar. Run a lime wedge along the rim of a cocktail glass, then dip into a small dish of sugar and salt. In a large shaker, combine all of the liquid ingredients and add a large handful of ice. Shake vigorously; increase the depth of color by adding a bit more cranberry juice. Garnish with a lime wedge, and consider layering some orange liqueur on top if you wish. Enjoy!

  • Stir together all ingredients until sugar is dissolved. Pour desired amount of mixture into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Cover with lid, and shake 30 seconds. Strain into chilled cocktail glasses. Repeat with remaining mixture. Serve immediately (or make ahead; see tip below).
  • Note: We tested with Cointreau orange liqueur.
  • Test Kitchen Tip: Mix up several batches of Pink Cadillac Margaritas 3 to 4 hours before the party starts, and chill in decorative bottles or pitchers, ready to shake and serve when guests arrive.

This is my favorite version of the popular Pink Cadillac cocktail, which is how it's served at my favorite bar in downtown Seattle. The bar doesn't really give out their mixology secrets. But I found the recipe recently, so I clipped it so that I'd have it available for those occasions when I might want to make a Pink Cadillace cocktail at home.
