POOR MAN'S SHEPHERD'S PIE

Steps:

• In a medium saucepan, bring water and brown rice to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45 to 50 minutes.
• Meanwhile, in a medium skillet over high heat, brown the ground beef and drain fat.
• Stir the mushroom soup, green onion, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and pepper into the skillet with the beef. Simmer on medium low heat for 10 minutes. Serve over the rice.

POOR MAN'S PIE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
• Cook and stir ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly, about 10 minutes; season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Drain excess grease. Stir cream of mushroom soup and green beans into ground beef and bring to a simmer.
• Spread ground beef mixture into a 9x13-inch casserole dish. Spread mashed potatoes evenly over ground beef mixture. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over the top.
• Bake in the preheated oven until heated through, about 20 minutes.

POOR MAN'S SHEPHERD'S PIE

Steps:

• Brown ground chuck with onions and seasonings to taste.
• Add tomato soup and corn.
• Top with mashed potatoes and shredded cheese.
• Pop in oven until cheese melts.

COMFORTING POOR MAN'S SHEPHERD'S PIE

Steps:

• Make mashed potatoes using the 10 potatoes. I boiled my potatoes, drain and then mash wtih butter and milk to a smooth consistency.
• While the potatoes are cooking, brown the ground beef until thoroughly cooked. Drain and rinse off grease.
• Grease a casserole or baking dish with butter or spray with Pam.
• Once potatoes are mashed, line the bottom and sides of the casserole dish with a little under 2/3 of the potatoes. Make it look like a crust.
• Mix together the ground beef and creamed corn. Pour into the casserole as the filling.
• Top the filling with the remaining mashed potatoes, spreading to the sides and having it meet the "crust".
• Bake in a 400 degree oven until the top is lightly browned - about 30 to 45 minutes.

Steps:

• Boil potatoes, mash and season to taste with milk and butter. Brown ground beef and onion with salt and pepper. When cooked, add peas, corn, sugar. Let simmer until heated through. In 13x9 pan place meat and vegetable mixture in bottom of pan. Cover with mashed potatoes and sprinkle cheese on top. Place in oven on BROIL until cheese is bubbly or light brown.

• Brown ground beef with desired spices drain mix in 2 cans of vegi soup and simmer. Place in casserole dish and top with mashed potaoes. Bake in oven pre heated at 350 untill heated through. About 20 minutes.
