- Blend applesauce, milk, warm water, orange juice, poppy seeds, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a blender until smooth. Pour into a loaf pan, cover with plastic wrap, and freeze until very cold, at least 1 to 2 hours. Cut into squares or bars and top with a dollop of dulce de leche.

I have not tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Ossg Recipes. This was altered to lowfat from the original recipe. Also to reduce the calories you can use a sugar substitute to equal the sugar. I plan to use Splenda in place of the sugar.

- In a 1-qt. microwave-safe dish, combine apple and water. Cover and microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir in brown sugar. Cover and cook 1 minute longer., Stir in sour cream and cinnamon. Cover and cook at 50% power for 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 minutes or until brown sugar is melted, stirring once. Stir until blended. Serve warm with ice cream.
