Roast Beef Sliders image

Need a memorable handheld for your next party? These buttery roast beef sliders with sharp provolone and horseradish will be a hit.

Provided by Fanny Slater

Categories     Sliders

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 12

12 slider buns (like dinner rolls or Hawaiian sweet rolls)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
1 pound thinly sliced deli-style roast beef
6 slices sharp provolone cheese
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons finely minced sweet onion
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
  • Split the buns down the middle (keeping them intact if they came stuck together) and place them into the baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and horseradish. Spread evenly on the bottom side of each bun, and then top with the roast beef, cheese, and top portions of the buns.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together. Once the brown sugar has dissolved into the butter, remove the pan from heat and then whisk in the mustard, onion, Worcestershire, and salt.
  • Spoon the butter mixture over the sandwiches and then sprinkle them with the poppy seeds. Loosely cover the sliders with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil, and continue to bake until the top buns are golden brown and the cheese has melted, about 8-10 more minutes. Serve warm.

ISLAND STYLE TERIYAKI BEEF SLIDERS

Island Style Teriyaki Beef Sliders image

Summer cookouts just got that much better with these sliders with a twist. A sweet-salty teriyaki glaze & Hawaiian sweet rolls are the ultimate game-changers!

Provided by CaliGirl Cooking

Categories     Main Course

Time 28m

Number Of Ingredients 19

1 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon peeled and minced ginger
1 tablespoon peeled and minced garlic
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons pineapple juice
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 pounds ground beef (preferably grass-fed True Aussie Ground Beef)
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Hawaiian sweet roll buns
Extra teriyaki sauce
Mayonnaise
Ketchup
Mustard
Sliced tomato
Sliced onion
Sliced pineapple

Steps:

  • Heat your grill to a medium-high temperature. If using the Big Green Egg, you'll want the temperature to get to about 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • First, make the teriyaki sauce. Combine all ingredients except cornstarch in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Let come to a low simmer, then whisk in cornstarch until sauce begins to thicken. Turn off heat and let sit at room temperature while you make the burgers.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine all burger ingredients. In this situation, it's probably easiest to just get in there and mix everything together with your hands.
  • Once burger ingredients are combined, use your hands to form slider-size patties (make a ball about the size of a lacrosse ball, then flatten it slightly and use your thumb to place an indent in the center to allow the meat to expand while cooking.)
  • Place sliders on the prepared grill and cook for just a few minutes each side. Since the patties are small, they won't take much time at all to cook.
  • Remove burgers from the grill and immediately brush with some of the prepared teriyaki sauce. Reserve the remaining sauce to serve as a condiment.
  • Serve burger patties alongside sliced Hawaiian rolls and the rest of the suggested condiments. Let guests build their sliders as they please!

SPICY ROAST BEEF SLIDERS

Spicy Roast Beef Sliders image

Sloppy, melty goodness. Usually I make these roast beef sliders without the flour to thicken the broth into a gravy, so you can absolutely do it without the flour and just strain the meat before putting on the sliders and then use the sauce like an au jus to dip in on the side, but I preferred these with the meaty gravy. Reminded me of a grown up Sloppy Joe. Yum!

Provided by Cindylee Bloomer

Categories     Main Dish Recipes     Sandwich Recipes     Beef

Time 30m

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 10

½ pound thinly sliced deli roast beef
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed beef consomme, undiluted
1 jalapeno pepper, diced, or more to taste

12 Hawaiian bread rolls, split
6 slices provolone cheese
6 slices pepper Jack cheese

  • Combine consomme, jalapeno, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a simmer. Add roast beef, lower heat to medium-low, and simmer until heated through, 1 to 2 minutes. Add flour and stir constantly until thickened into a gravy, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from the heat.
