Air Fryer Salmon with Crispy Skin image

Salmon in the air fryer is fantastic because you get the most crispy skin as a result, and it's fast. Delicious and healthy without turning on the stove.

1 lb. salmon fillet
1 tsp. olive oil
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
optional - seasonings of choice

Steps:

  • Remove the salmon from any packaging and pat it dry with a paper towel.
  • Drizzle on the olive oil, salt, and pepper. Rub them all over the salmon.
  • Place the salmon in the air fryer tray skin side up and slide it in the air fryer.
  • Turn the temperature to 360°F for 15-18 minutes*.
  • Check on the salmon half-way through the process to make sure it isn't burning.
  • When it's golden brown around the edges remove and serve!

Did you know you can cook fish in the air fryer en papillote? I didn't either until I did an experiment! You can have a full dinner by adding in 90-second rice and cooking the vegetables with the fish. Serve with a lemon-dill sauce.

2 pieces parchment paper (13x15-inches)
1 medium zucchini, cut into 1/3-inch rounds
1 medium yellow squash, cut on the diagonal 1/3-inch wide
1 teaspoon sazonador total (from Goya)
2 (4 ounce) fillets skin-on salmon
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 10 minutes.
  • Place 2 pieces parchment paper side by side; fold each piece in half. Place equal amounts zucchini and squash along the seam and sprinkle with sazonador seasoning. Lay salmon fillets on top of vegetables and sprinkle remaining seasoning on top. Dot each fillet with 1 tablespoon butter.
  • Fold up each parchment square: first fold the rectangles in half over the fish. Then, starting at one corner, make a series of straight folds on the outer rim of the squares to seal the edge together.
  • Air fry until salmon easily flakes with a fork, 10 minutes. The packages should be puffed up and slightly browned when fully cooked.

1 can (14-3/4 ounces) salmon, drained, bones and skin removed

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°. In a large bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Crumble salmon over mixture and mix well. Shape into 6 patties. , Arrange patties in greased air fryer; spritz with cooking spray. Cook until set and golden brown, 6-8 minutes.

Salmon fillets cook beautifully in an air fryer and make a delicious meal when coated in a herb seasoning and served with greens and grains

1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp mixed herbs
1 tsp garlic granules (optional)
4 salmon fillets (we used 4 x 130g fillets), skin on or removed
½ tbsp olive oil
cooked seasonal greens and grains such as quinoa or brown rice, to serve (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine the salt, pepper, mixed herbs and garlic granules, if using, in a bowl, then scatter onto a plate. Rub each salmon fillet with a little olive oil and roll in the seasoning to coat.
  • Put in the air fryer basket in one layer and cook at 180C for 8-10 mins, until cooked through. If you have larger salmon fillets they will need to be cooked for longer - keep checking after 10 mins and cook in 1-2 min blasts, until ready. Serve with greens and quinoa or rice, if you like.
