Sloppy Joe Biscuit Casserole is an easy ground beef casserole recipe loaded with French's fried onions, shredded mozzarella, cheddar and topped with Pillsbury biscuit pieces.

2 lbs lean ground beef
1 cup yellow onion, diced
2 cups ketchup
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp onion powder
2 cups French's fried onions
2 cups shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend
12 oz Pillsbury refrigerated biscuits

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375F.
  • Dump ground beef into a large saute pan over medium-high heat, along with a dab of butter or margarine.
  • Add the diced onion to the pan with the ground beef.
  • Crumble the ground beef well as it cooks.
  • When the ground beef is completely cooked, turn off the heat and drain the excess grease from the pan.
  • Dump the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and onion powder into a medium mixing bowl. Stir well.
  • Add the sauce mixture to the pan with the ground beef.
  • Stir until the ground beef is all coated in sauce.
  • Add the French's fried onions to the pan and stir well again.
  • Dump the sloppy joe mixture into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  • Open the package of biscuits and cut each one into 6 pieces.
  • Place the biscuit pieces on top of the cheese, spacing them out as evenly as possible.
  • Place the dish in the oven and bake the casserole until the biscuits are nicely browned. 22-25 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy!

  • In 10-inch skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and celery over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients except biscuits. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly heated. Spoon mixture into ungreased 8-inch square (2 quart) glass baking dish.
  • Separate dough into 10 biscuits; cut each in half crosswise. Arrange biscuit pieces, cut side down, on hot beef mixture.

2 cups frozen whole-kernel corn

1 (6 ounce) can black olives, drained and halved
2 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Brown and drain hamburger. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, and bullion.
  • Heat to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered 5 minutes. Stir in 1 can black olives, drained and halved.
  • Mix Bisquick, Parmesan and milk. Spread half in 8x8x2 inch square pan.
