Ingredients

68 fluid ounces ginger beer, divided
2 cups frozen strawberries
2 tablespoons white sugar

Steps:

Pour 1 cup ginger beer into a blender; add strawberries and sugar and blend until strawberries are pureed. Pour puree into a pitcher or punch bowl and stir in remaining ginger beer.

Experimenting in the kitchen is fun for me. That's how I came up with this recipe-I adapted it from recipes I got from friends for a melon ball basket and for a sparkling beverage. -Teresa Messick, Montgomery, Alabama

Number Of Ingredients 7

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1 cup water
5 fresh mint sprigs
1 quart fresh strawberries, halved
2 cups cubed honeydew
1-3/4 cups cubed cantaloupe
Ginger ale or sparkling white grape juice

Steps:

In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, water and mint; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes. Remove from the heat; allow to cool completely. Discard mint. , Combine strawberries and melon. Just before serving, fill tall glasses with fruit and drizzle each with 1 tablespoon syrup. Add ginger ale to each glass.

4 large hulled strawberries
1 teaspoon white sugar
3 ounces gin
1 (12 fluid ounce) can raspberry-flavored seltzer

Steps:

Muddle strawberries and sugar in a mixing glass until crushed. Add gin and stir to dissolve sugar. Strain into 2 ice-filled Collins or rocks glasses. Top with seltzer.
