2 c. strawberries
1 1/2 c. white chocolate, melted
1 tsp. coconut oil
1/4 c. mini chocolate chips
1 c. chocolate chips, melted

Steps:

  • Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine melted white chocolate and coconut oil and stir until combined. Dip strawberries into white chocolate and place two mini chocolate chips on the top half of the strawberries for eyes. Place strawberries on prepared baking sheet and place in the refrigerator to harden, about 10 minutes.
  • Place melted chocolate chips in a ziploc bag and pipe mouths on the strawberries.
  • Let cool again in the refrigerator, 5 minutes. Serve.

30 fresh strawberries
8 ounces white baking chocolate, chopped
1 teaspoon shortening
1/8 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Wash strawberries and gently pat with paper towels until completely dry. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate and shortening at 50% power; stir until smooth. Stir in extract. , Dip strawberries in chocolate mixture; place on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet, allowing excess chocolate to form the ghosts' tails. Immediately press chocolate chips into coating for eyes. Freeze 5 minutes., In microwave, melt remaining chocolate chips; stir until smooth. Dip a toothpick into melted chocolate and draw a mouth on each ghost. Refrigerate leftovers.

Juicy and sweet strawberry ghosts are spooky and delicious!! Here is a simple and quick tutorial on how to make these Boo-tiful treats.

1 pint strawberries (rinsed and dried)
8 oz melting chocolate (white)
1 oz melting chocolate (chocolate (for face))
parchment paper

Steps:

  • Begin by rinsing your strawberries. Place them on a paper towel to dry.
  • Line a baking sheet or pan with parchment paper. Place Strawberries right next to your pan. Also, place a hot pad next to the pan for when the chocolate is melted. *NOTE: Sometimes the parchment paper doesn't stay very well and starts to roll back up. To stop this I will spray a little cooking spray on the pan and then put on the parchment paper.
  • Melt your white Candy Coating. This can be the tricky part, but the trick is to do only a few cubes at a time by placing in a small pot on LOW heat, stirring CONSTANTLY with a rubber spatula. Yes, it may take at least 5 minutes and your hand gets tired, but your candy will melt perfectly. When candy coating is completely smooth, remove from heat.
  • Hold your pot of chocolate at an angle. Grab strawberries by the stem and dip both sides in the chocolate and when placing down on the parchment paper, drag and drop the strawberries so it makes a ghost tail. Continue doing this for all strawberries.
  • Let Strawberries set on your counter until hard. Melt milk chocolate and place in a Ziploc bag with a small cut in the corner. Pipe on eyes and mouth and let set. Place in fridge to set more quickly.

1 lb. fresh strawberries, rinsed and pat dry
1 cup white chocolate chips, melted
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, melted

Steps:

  • Place strawberries on a large platter or baking sheet, coated in nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips. Stir every 30 seconds, or until completely melted and smooth. To give a more dippable consistency, stir in a teaspoon (or so) of neutral oil or melted butter.
  • One at a time, dip strawberries in melted white chocolate. Set on the platter.
  • Place platter in your refrigerator to set the chocolate.
  • Meanwhile, melt dark chocolate chips until smooth. Using a toothpick or squeeze bottle, dot ghost eyes and mouths onto the strawberries.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Enjoy!

12 egg whites
1-1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup strawberry preserves
DECORATING:
1 can (16 ounces) vanilla frosting
24 miniature semisweet chocolate chips
12 brown M&M's minis

Steps:

  • Line two ungreased 18x13-in. baking pans with parchment paper. Place egg whites in a large bowl; let stand at room temperature 30 minutes. Sift confectioners' sugar and flour together three times; set aside., Preheat oven to 350°. Add cream of tartar, vanilla and salt to egg whites; beat on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating on high until stiff peaks form. Gradually fold in flour mixture, about 1/4 cup at a time., Gently spoon into prepared pans. Cut through batter with a knife to remove air pockets. Bake 25-35 minutes or until golden brown on top. Cool completely, about 1 hour., Cut with a 4-in. ghost-shaped cookie cutter. Spread half of the cakes with preserves; top with remaining cakes. Place on wire racks over waxed paper., Transfer frosting to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high 20-30 seconds or until melted; stir until smooth. Spoon over cakes. Add chocolate chips for eyes and M&M's for mouths. Let stand until set.
