Easy Strawberry Shortcake image

This is a very easy and quick dessert. If you love strawberries and shortcake, then this is the recipe for you!

1 quart fresh strawberries, sliced
¼ cup white sugar
1 (12 ounce) package prepared sponge cake dessert cups
1 (7 ounce) can whipped cream, or to taste

Steps:

  • Place strawberries in a container with a lid; add sugar and stir to coat. Place lid on the container and refrigerate until sugar has dissolved, at least 15 minutes.
  • Place a 1 dessert cup in each serving bowl and smother with strawberries. Top each with whipped cream.

3 pints fresh strawberries
½ cup white sugar
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons white sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
⅓ cup shortening
1 egg
⅔ cup milk
2 cups whipped heavy cream

Steps:

  • Slice the strawberries and toss them with 1/2 cup of white sugar. Set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease and flour one 8 inch round cake pan.
  • In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder, 2 tablespoons white sugar and the salt. With a pastry blender cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make a well in the center and add the beaten egg and milk. Stir until just combined.
  • Spread the batter into the prepared pan. Bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool partially in pan on wire rack.
  • Slice partially cooled cake in half, making two layers. Place half of the strawberries on one layer and top with the other layer. Top with remaining strawberries and cover with the whipped cream.

1 package(s) vanilla pudding
1 package(s) strawberries, fresh
1 package(s) cream cheese, softened
1 bottle(s) strawberry puree
1 bottle(s) amaretto
1 can(s) cool whip whipped cream
1 can(s) toasted almonds

Steps:

  • Waffles
  • Preheat Waffle Iron
  • Mix cake mix and pudding mix. A thicker consistency works better.
  • Pour Mix into Waffle Iron
  • When waffles are done, cut into 4 sections
  • Stack Waffles adding a layer of the almond cream between each layer
  • Pour generous amount of Strawberry Sauce over the top
  • Top with Whipped Cream and toasted Almonds
  • Stawberry Sauce
  • Slice strawberries and mix with strawberry puree in a bowl
  • Store in refridgerator until ready to use. (can do the night before and marinate over night)
  • Almond Cream Sauce
  • Soften Cream Cheese
  • Mix Cream Cheese and Amaretto in bowl and whip together until it is creamy. add a pinch of sugar if desired. A splash of milk also helps to make it a bit creamier.

  • Preheat your waffle iron. Cut the tops off of the strawberries, slice, and set aside. If you like, preheat the oven to 200 degrees F to keep the waffles warm between batches.
  • Place the 2 cups mix in the bottom of a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl or large measuring cup, whisk together the eggs, oil, and milk. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, then add the wet ingredients all at once. With a fork, gently stir to combine, being careful not to overmix. The batter will be slightly lumpy. Cook the waffles according to your waffle iron's instructions. If desired, place the waffles on a baking sheet and keep warm in the preheated oven until you are ready to serve.
  • With an electric mixer, whip the cream on medium high speed until it starts to thicken. Add the maple syrup, then continue mixing on high until very fluffy and still peaks form.
  • To serve, slice the waffles into halves or quarters, then layer with the strawberries and maple whipped cream. Top with additional strawberries and more whipped cream (really, you can't have enough of the maple whipped cream here). Enjoy immediately.
