Steps:
- Cook bowtie pasta (preferably whole wheat) according to package directions.
- Cook garlic, stirring very often in hot oil in large skillet over medium high heat until lightly browned (don't over cook or it will become bitter.
- Add mushrooms tomatoes green onions and red pepper flakes. Cook and stir 3-4 minutes.
- Add broth, simmer to reduce slightly.
- Add chicken, pasta and spice (if desired) Try cilantro dried if you have not tried it. Or use parsley if cilantro is not to your taste.
- Heat though, and garnish with cilantro or parsley if desired.
- (I like the fresh variety about a ¼ cup, my husband is not so fond of it, so I use either dried cilantro 1 tsp or fresh parsley.
- • Don't worry about the amount of garlic. It truly does become, as the title says sweet.

GARLIC CHICKEN PASTA
This simple dish can be jazzed up by adding more ingredients. For a vegetarian version, replace the chicken with mushrooms.

Steps:
- Cut the chicken into bitesize pieces and shallow fry in the butter, preferably in a pan with high sides so the pasta can be added later.
- Boil the water for the pasta and then cook according to instructions.
- Once the chicken has cooked through, add the other ingredients, leaving the garlic until last to keep in the flavour.
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain and add to the chicken. If there isn't enough room, add the chicken to the pasta instead.
- Stir in the creme fraiche. Season to taste.

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook farfalle at a boil, stirring occasionally, until cooked through yet firm to the bite, about 12 minutes; drain and pour farfalle back into pot.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook chicken in the hot oil until no longer pink in the center and juices run clear, 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer chicken to a cutting board and slice into thin strips.
- Melt 2 tablespoons butter into the same skillet; cook and stir onions in the melted butter until transparent, 5 to 10 minutes. Stir mushrooms and chicken strips into onions; cook until heated through, about 5 minutes. Remove skillet from heat.
- Heat 1/4 cup butter in a large skillet; stir flour into melted butter until dissolved, about 1 minute. Slowly whisk milk into flour mixture until smooth; add garlic, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil for 1 minute; reduce heat.
- Stir chicken mixture and garlic sauce into farfalle; cook and stir over medium-low heat until heated through, 2 to 3 minutes.

SWEET GARLIC CHICKEN
Requires preparing ahead of time, but very simple and well worth it! If you are a garlic fan, use 6-8 cloves of garlic for an extra kick!

- Whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic, honey, and ginger in a large glass or ceramic bowl. Add the chicken breast and toss to evenly coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours.
- Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the spaghetti, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has cooked through, but is still firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. Drain well in a colander set in the sink. Stir in 1 tablespoon of butter and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the onion; cook and stir until the onion has softened and turned translucent, about 5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the marinade, and shake off excess, then add to the skillet. Discard the remaining marinade. Cook the chicken breast strips until no longer pink in the center, about 10 minutes. Serve chicken over spaghetti.

- Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Meanwhile, place tomatoes in a small bowl; add boiling water. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Drain and chop tomatoes; set aside. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine flour and garlic salt. Add chicken, a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat., In a large skillet, saute chicken in 2 tablespoons oil until no longer pink. Remove and keep warm. In the same skillet, saute mushrooms and garlic in remaining oil until tender. Add the broth, wine or additional broth, parsley, basil, salt, pepper and pepper flakes. Stir in the reserved tomatoes and chicken; heat through., Drain spaghetti. Add chicken mixture and cheese; toss to coat.

- 1 - Preheat oven to 450°F Line a baking dish or cookie sheet with aluminum foil and lightly coat with cooking spray or lightly brush with oil.
- 2 - In small sauté pan, sauté garlic with the oil until tender.
- 3 - Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Add additional herbs and spices as desired.
- 4 - Place chicken breasts in a prepared baking dish and cover with the garlic and brown sugar mixture.
- 5 - Add salt and pepper to taste.
- 6 - Bake uncovered for 15-30 minutes, or until juices run clear. Cooking time will depend on the size and thickness of your chicken.

SWEET GARLIC CHICKEN PASTA

- Heat the 2 tbsp oil in a pan and fry the onion and garlic over a low to medium heat for 5 minutes, or until softened.
- Mix the ginger, salt, stock cube and turmeric together in a bowl with the remaining oil until well combined, then add the chicken pieces and mix well to coat.
- Add the coated chicken to the pan and fry for 15 minutes, or until golden-brown and cooked through.
- Stir in the butter and the tomatoes into the pan, then reduce the heat until the mixture is just simmering. Add the soy sauce and the balsamic vinegar and stir. Sprinkle the top with the sugar and garlic granules and stir.
- Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes or so and adding a tablespoon of water if the mixture appears too dry.
- While cooking the chicken, start to boil the water for the pasta, then cook for 9 minutes or until soft.
- To serve, spoon the chicken onto serving plates with the pasta on top, serve with grated parmesan.
