21 ozs macaroni
0.25 cup butter
0.5 cup all-purpose flour
2.5 cups milk
2 cups grated, sharp Cheese
2 canned Tuna (drained)
12 ozs canned Sweet corn (drained)
salt
peppers
Sage

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Grease a baking dish
  • Boil the pasta for 2 minutes less time than stated on the pack.
  • Melt the butter in a pan and stir in the flour. Cook for 1 minute, then gradually stir in the milk to make a thick sauce. Remove from the heat and stir in most of the cheese.
  • Drain the pasta, mix with the sauce, tuna and sweetcorn. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Transfer to the baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden. Garnish with sage leaves.

1/4 cup fine dry breadcrumb

  • Combine tuna, pepper, onion, pimiento and mayonnaise.
  • Spoon in shallow dish.
  • Sprinkle with bread crumbs and cheese.

1 tsp olive oil
1 red and 1 yellow pepper , deseeded and sliced
2 garlic cloves , crushed
pinch crushed dried chillies
2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
50g mixed pitted olives , whole or roughly chopped (optional)
pinch caster sugar
250g wholemeal pasta shapes
2 x 200g cans tuna steak in spring water, drained and flaked
25g fresh wholemeal breadcrumbs
2 tbsp grated parmesan

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a large saucepan and fry the peppers for about 5 mins until starting to caramelise. Add the garlic and chillies, cook for 30 secs, then tip in the tomatoes and olives (if using). Season, add a pinch of sugar, bring to the boil, then simmer, uncovered, for 10 mins.
  • Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to pack instructions. Heat the grill. Drain the pasta and mix into the tomato sauce, along with the tuna. Tip into a large ovenproof dish. Mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan together and scatter over the top. Grill for 3-4 mins or until the topping is crisp and golden. Serve with a green salad, if you like.

1 (12 ounce) can chunk light tuna, drained and chunked
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 (16 ounce) package frozen broccoli cuts, cooked and drained
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Prepare potatoes according to package directions. While potatoes are standing, stir in tuna and onion. Arrange cooked broccoli in bottom of lightly greased 11x7 inch baking dish. Pour tuna-potato mixture over broccoli; top with cheese. Broil 3-4 minutes or until cheese is bubbly. Sprinkle bread crumbs over top.
