- Fill a cocktail shaker one-third full with cracked ice. Pour the Dubonnet, pear brandy, and lime juice over the ice. Shake the mixture vigorously and pour it with the ice into a chilled highball glass. Fill the glass with soda water and stir lightly to blend.
- Garnish with the lime slice.

- Mix crumbs and melted butter.reserve 2 tablespoon for top.press remainder in bottom of pan(10x8 approx) cream the butter and confectioners sugar,add eggs, 1 at a tme.beatingwell after each.spead over crumbs.
- combine sugar, cocoa and cream -whip. fold in nuts banana and cherries. pile on top of egg mixture in pan. sprinkle reserved crumbs on top.
- chill 24 hrs or freeze.
- serves about 10-12.

- Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Add flour; mix well. Stir in cherries and pecans. Chill 1 hour. , Shape dough into three 10-in.-long logs; wrap securely and place in a freezer bag. Freeze until ready to bake, or up to 2 months., To bake, cut frozen logs into 1/8-in. slices, and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 325° until edges are golden brown, 10-12 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
