Pan-Fried Pork Chops with Sweet BBQ Sauce image

Pork chops are cool again and this version is addictive and ready in 15 minutes.

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound (1/2-inch thick) pork chops
kosher salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper
1 cup barbeque sauce
½ cup brown sugar
2 limes, juiced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chopped parsley, or to taste

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper. Add pork chops to hot oil in the skillet in a single layer and cook until golden, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  • Meanwhile, whisk barbecue sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, and garlic powder together in a bowl for the 'crack' sauce. Pour sauce over golden pork chops and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, cover, and simmer until pork shops are cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley.

1 package (16 ounces) penne pasta
1 cup chopped sweet red pepper
3/4 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 carton (18 ounces) refrigerated fully cooked barbecued shredded pork
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes with mild green chilies, undrained
1/2 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 chopped chopped green onions

Steps:

  • 1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute red pepper and onion in butter and oil until tender. Add garlic; saute 1 minute longer. Stir in the pork, tomatoes, broth, cumin, pepper and salt; heat through. 2. Drain pasta. Add pasta and cheese to pork mixture. Sprinkle with green onions. Yield: 8 servings.

6 bone-in pork chops (2-1/4 lb.), 1/2 inch thick
1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Pork
3/4 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
2 green onions, sliced

Steps:

  • Cook and stir onions and peppers in 1 Tbsp. hot oil in medium skillet on medium-high heat 3 to 5 min. or until crisp-tender. Remove from skillet.
  • Add remaining oil and chops to skillet; cook 4 to 5 min. on each side or until chops are done (145ºF). Meanwhile, prepare stuffing as directed on package.
  • Spoon vegetable mixture over chops; top with barbecue sauce. Cover; simmer on low heat until 3 min. or sauce is heated through. Sprinkle with green onions. Serve with stuffing.

1-1/2 cups frozen corn

3/4 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
3/4 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Steps:

500g pork tenderloin fillet
1 tbsp plain flour
2 tsp dried rosemary
3 tbsp olive oil
250g chestnut mushrooms , sliced
1 fat garlic clove , finely chopped
300ml vegetable stock

Steps:

  • Coat the pork: Cut the pork diagonally into finger-thick slices. Tip the flour and rosemary into a large plastic food bag, add some salt and pepper and the pork, and toss until the meat is well coated.
  • Start cooking: Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a large wide frying pan. Add the pork and fry for about 3-4 minutes until nicely browned on both sides, turning once. Remove from the pan.
  • Fry the mushrooms: Heat the remaining oil in the pan, tip in the mushrooms and fry until they start to soften, about 2 minutes. Sprinkle in the garlic and return the pork to the pan with any flour left in the bag. Stir in the stock and bring to the boil. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the pork is cooked.
