This cheese dip recipe is made with Velveeta cheese and salsa. Cook this spicy cheese dip in the crock pot and serve with tortilla chips.

1 jar (16 ounces) picante sauce or salsa
Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Place the cheese cubes and salsa in a slow cooker or crock pot . Cover and cook on high, stirring occasionally until the cheese cubes are melted and blended with the salsa, about 2 hours.
  • Stir in fresh chopped cilantro after the cheese has melted if desired. Serve hot, right from the slow cooker, with tortilla chips or corn chips or assorted crackers.

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.

  • Cover and heat on low for 30 to 60 minutes, until melted, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in tomatoes with chiles and taco seasoning. Cover and continue heating 30 minutes.
  • Serve hot with tortilla chips or corn chips.
