7 LAYERED SALAD, "GRANNY'S RECIPE" RECIPE - (4.5/5)

7 Layered Salad,

Provided by á-75476

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 head of lettuce, cut up
1 celery stalk, cut up
1 bag unthawed frozen peas
2 cups mayonnaise (or miracle whip)
2 Tbsp sugar
2 cups shredded colby cheese
1 cup bacon bits
5 boiled eggs, cut up

Steps:

  • Add a layer of hard cooked eggs before the mayonnaise and sprinkle the mayo with a couple tablespoons of sugar. It helps the dressing liquify somewhat to seep down into the veggie layers. To save time, I purchase "real" bacon bits to top the salad. Layer salad this way: lettuce on the bottom celery peas eggs mayonnaise & sugar mix cheese bacon on the top keep cool in the refrigerator until served
