Steps:
- Dissolve jello in boiling water
- Add cold water OR ice cubes
- Stir thoroughly
- Refrigerate, stirring occasionally, until jello begins to set
- Peel and dice apple finely
- When jello is just beginning to set, add the diced apples
- Continue to allow jello to set, stirring occasionally
- When apples are settled into the jello and not just floating on the top, stir once more
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Steps:
- Bring boiling-water canner, half full with water, to simmer. Wash jars and screw bands in hot soapy water; rinse with warm water. Pour boiling water over flat lids in saucepan off the heat. Let stand in hot water until ready to use. Drain well before filling.
- Remove stems and blossom ends from unpeeled apples. Core apples; cut into small pieces. Place in large saucepan; add water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 min., stirring occasionally. Crush cooked apples; cover and simmer 5 min. Place three layers of damp cheesecloth or a jelly bag in large bowl. Pour prepared fruit into cheesecloth. Tie cheesecloth closed; hang and let drip into bowl until dripping stops. Press gently. Measure exactly 7 cups prepared juice into 6- or 8-qt. saucepot. (If needed, add up to 1/2 cup water for exact measure.)
- Stir pectin into juice in saucepot. Add butter to reduce foaming. Bring mixture to full rolling boil (a boil that doesn't stop bubbling when stirred) on high heat, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar. Return to full rolling boil and boil exactly 1 min., stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Skim off any foam with metal spoon.
- Ladle immediately into prepared jars, filling to within 1/4 inch of tops. Wipe jar rims and threads. Cover with two-piece lids. Screw bands tightly. Place jars on elevated rack in canner. Lower rack into canner. (Water must cover jars by 1 to 2 inches. Add boiling water, if necessary.) Cover; bring water to gentle boil. Process 5 min. Remove jars and place upright on a towel to cool completely. After jars cool, check seals by pressing middles of lids with finger. (If lids spring back, lids are not sealed and refrigeration is necessary.)

- Dissolve candy in water over medium high heat, stirring often.
- Remove from heat; add jello and stir until dissolved.
- Stir in pecans and apples when cooled.
- Pour into serving dish.
- Refrigerate until jello is firm and you are ready to serve the salad.
5 MINUTE ORANGE JELLO SALAD RECIPE

- In a large bowl, mix together Cool Whip and the package of unprepared powdered jello. Whisk together until they are well blended and most of the jello is dissolved into the Cool Whip.
- Fold in the cottage cheese, oranges, and pineapples. Add in the marshmallows and mix.
- Store in the refrigerator until you are ready to eat (I like to chill it for an hour or so before serving).

- In a bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding and buttermilk and beat for 2 minutes, or until fully combined and thickened.
- Fold in the 16 ounce container of Cool Whip, until fully combined.
- Dice up the Granny Smith apples and the Twix bars into bite size pieces, then fold into the mixture.
- Refrigerate until ready to eat.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce for garnish.

PINEAPPLE JELLO SALAD
This is my standard dish to take to salad suppers and also for holidays. If you like pineapple you will love the flavor of this.

Steps:
- Mix jello according to pk directions, add pineapple, bananas and marshmallows.
- Pour into a 9x13 inch pan.
- Chill until firm.
- In top of double boiler, mix eggs, butter, flour, sugar.
- Add reserved pineapple juice (if reserved juice is not quite one cup you may add enough water to make one full cup) Cook and stir until thick.
- Cool.
- Fold in cool whip.
- Spread over jello.
- Top with grated cheese and nuts.
- I use 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese and 1/4 cup chopped walnuts.
