ARNOLD PALMER "THE ARNIE"

Arnold Palmer

Whether you drink a classic Arnold Palmer with ice tea & lemonade or make it high octane with vodka, this is a perfect drink refreshing summer beverage.

Number Of Ingredients 7

Ingredients

4 tea bags (use your favorite brand of tea, regular or decaffeinated)
3 cups boiling water
3/4 cup sugar
1 boiling water
12 ounces Lemonade
1 splash tangerine juice (optional)
3-4 slices orange, lime and lemon (optional)

Steps:

Bring water to boil and pour 3 cups over 4 tea bags and allow to steep for 5 minutes. Remove bags and chill tea in the refrigerator.
Add one cup of boiling water to 3/4 cup of sugar, making sure the sugar dissolves completely. This is a simple syrup to sweeten the tea. (If you don't want sweetened tea, eliminate the sugar and use all the 4 cups of water for the tea bags)
Mix simple syrup and brewed tea together and chill.
Add lemonade, mixing well.
Add in citrus slices
Serve in a Collins Glass (12-14 ounces) over ice. Feel free to add a sprig a mint.

Combine lemonade and iced tea in a highball or tall glass. Add ice and stir until chilled.
