Steps:
- In a 5-6 quart slow cooker, place all potatoes and top with the beef brisket.
- In a small bowl, combine hoisin sauce, salsa, tapioca and garlic and pour over the meat.
- Spread sauce evenly over the meat.
- Cover and cook on low for 10 hours or on high for 5 to 5 1/2 hours.
- Remove meat from cooker to a cutting board and cut across the grain into slices.
- Serve cooking liquid over the meat and potatoes.

CROCK POT CHINESE BRISKET
A crockpot variation of my recipe #306536. "Cooking" time includes marinating time, since that's unattended.

Steps:
- In a large zip top bag, combine garlic powder, salt, pepper, mustard powder, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, ground ginger, oil, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, shaoxing wine and honey. Add brisket. Press out as much air as possible, seal tightly, and refrigerate 6-8 hours, turning occasionally.
- Place brisket in slow cooker, and empty marinade over it. Cook on low 6-8 hours.
- Remove brisket to a plate, tent with foil and let rest 10 minutes. Meanwhile, skim off as much fat as possible from juices in slow cooker. Turn slow cooker up to high. Dissolve cornstarch in cold water, and drizzle into defatted juices. Stir until thickened.
- Slice brisket thinly, across the grain. Serve with gravy.

TERIYAKI BEEF BRISKET FOR THE CROCK POT
Serve this sliced thin on French bread rolls and serve with a bowl of sauce for dipping or on a plate with the sauce as a meat gravy. If necessary, cut the meat in half to fit your crock pot or slow cooker

Steps:
- Remove fat from beef.
- Place in a 4 qt crock pot.
- Top with onion.
- Mix teriyaki and orange peel; pour over meat and onions.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or until beef is tender.
- Remove beef from crock pot to a cutting board; cover to keep warm.
- Mix water and cornstarch.
- Slowly pour cornstarch mixture into juices left in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on high setting for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until sauce has thickened.
- Cut beef across the grain into thin slices.
- Serve sauce with beef.

Excellent Mild Asian flavor. If you like it more kicked up, double the amount of garlic, teriyaki, soy and hoisin sauce. This recipe has been updated because the ingredients were originally for 1/2 lb steak.

Steps:
- Cut the steak across the grain into 1/4 inch slices.
- In a bowl, combine pepper, salt, garlic and sugar, stir.
- Put your steak slices in the mixture and toss.
- Put steak into crockpot, add beef broth and stir.
- Add teriyaki, soy and hoison sauce, stir.
- Add chopped onions and sliced red pepper, stir.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-7 hours depending on your crock pot.
- Serve over noodles or rice.
- Enjoy.
