Steps:
- For the Korean pulled pork: Remove the pork from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking.
- Whisk together the soy sauce, gochujang, hoisin, ketchup, vinegar, honey, sesame oil, five-spice powder and pepper until smooth. Rub the pork with the marinade, cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours and up to 24 hours.
- Prepare the Caja China according to manufacturer's directions. Cook until the pork reaches 190 degrees F, 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Remove the pork, place in a baking pan, tent with foil and let the pork rest for 20 minutes. Reserve the juices for the BBQ sauce.
- For the Korean BBQ sauce: Heat the oil in a medium high-sided saute pan. Add the shallots and cook until soft. Whisk in the reserved juices from the pork, the chicken stock, ketchup, gochujang, honey, soy sauce and five-spice powder and cook until slightly reduced. Remove from the heat, add the vinegar and sesame oil.
- For the Asian slaw: Whisk together the vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and soy sauce until the honey is dissolved. Add the peas, carrots, cabbage and sesame seeds. Toss to combine; season with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate until cold, at least 1 hour.
- For serving: Using tongs, pull the pork into bite-size bits. Toss with the BBQ sauce. Mound some slaw on the bottoms of the buns. Top with the pork and the top bun.
ASIAN-STYLE PORK TENDERLOIN WITH SLAW
We're a busy family! As a realtor, I often work on weekends while my husband coaches our sons' lacrosse teams. Sunday night is our time to reconnect as a family and catch up on the week. This recipe is quick, easy, and healthy, but still feels like comfort food to us. -Danna Rogers, Westport,Connecticut

HOT ASIAN PORK SKEWERS WITH RICE VINEGAR SLAW
Provided by Orchid Paulmeier
Time 4h30m
Yield 6 to 8 servings
Number Of Ingredients 15
Steps:
- For the pork: Place 4 to 5 pieces cubed pork onto each skewer and continue until all the pork has been skewered. Place on a sheet tray.
- To make the marinade, mix the teriyaki sauce, sweet chile paste, red pepper flakes, habanero and brown sugar in a bowl until well combined. Take 1/4 cup of the marinade and baste each skewer. Put the skewers in a plastic bag and marinate for 2 to 3 hours, or up to overnight. Save the rest of the marinade as a basting sauce for grilling.
- While the pork is marinating, make the rice vinegar slaw. In a non-reactive bowl, mix the green and red cabbage and the carrots. Let stand until the colors bleed, about 10 minutes. During that time, make the dressing. Whisk together the rice wine vinegar, mayonnaise, mustard, brown sugar, celery seed and salt. Pour over the cabbage mixture and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- To serve: After the pork has marinated, heat a grill to medium-high heat. Grill the pork skewers over direct heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, painting on the remaining sauce for a nice caramelization. Serve the pork skewers on a bed of the rice vinegar slaw and extra sauce for dipping.
PORK BUNS WITH BOK-CHOY SLAW
A super creative way to serve ground pork! The meat is stir-fried with hoisin sauce, sambal oelek, and vinegar, then piled onto hot-dog buns and topped with fresh herbs and a tangy bok-choy-and-red-pepper slaw.

Steps:
- Stir together hoisin, sambal oelek, and 1 tablespoon vinegar. In another bowl, stir together bell pepper, bok-choy stems, and remaining 1/4 cup vinegar. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place pork in a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Season with salt and cook, breaking up with the back of a spoon, until cooked and beginning to brown, 5 to 6 minutes (there will be some liquid in skillet). Add 1/4 cup hoisin mixture; cook until sauce is reduced and evenly coats meat, about 30 seconds.
- Spread mayonnaise on buns. Serve pork in buns with bok-choy leaves, slaw, and herbs, with remaining hoisin mixture and sambal oelek alongside.
KOFTE IN PITA POCKETS
This is a Turkish sandwich based on a recipe from Carole Handslip's book, Step-by-Step 50 Great Sandwiches. When I make my own pita bread to go with them, I give this 5 stars! Serve with a minted yogurt sauce, such as recipe #36126, #36126.

ASIAN PORK KOFTE WITH SWEET LIMED SLAW
This is an Asian take on a Middle Eastern dish. It's best when a mouthful consists of a bit of kofte and a bit of slaw! You could also wrap it up in flatbread to make an Asian kebab. To slice and julienne the salad vegetables use a mandolin grater for the best effect.
