Quick and easy, these simple ingredients combine into a refreshing delight of a drink!

Ingredients

1/2 c dry instant tea; I use unsweetened Lipton instant tea
3/4 c dry instant lemonade; I use Country Time instant lemonade mix as that is what my aunt fely prefers to use
2 c sugar
1 c white grape juice
1 gal water

Steps:

1. Stir the DRY ingredients together in a pitcher. This means that you will take 1/2 cup of the Lipton Instant Tea (or whichever brand you prefer to use), 3/4 cup of the Country Time Instant Lemonade Mix (or whichever brand you prefer to use), and the 2 cups of sugar and dump them into the bottom of an empty pitcher. Once you have dumped them into the pitcher, stir them together so that they are well combined. Do this before you add any liquids.
2. After stirring together the dry ingredients, add 1 cup of white grape juice to the dry ingredients and stir together. You should now have the tea, lemonade, sugar, and white grape juice mixed together in a pitcher.
3. Add one gallon of water to the mixture and enjoy!

Uncle Lucky and Aunt Bert's fruitcake cookies are a Virginian Christmas tradition. The cookies will soften and the flavour will mature when stored. The longer the cookies sit, the more the flavour will develop. They also freeze well.

Ingredients

1 pound white raisins
1 pound red and green candied cherries, chopped
1 pound dates, pitted and chopped
6 slices candied pineapple, chopped
1 cup bourbon whiskey, divided, or as needed
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
28 ounces pecans, chopped
3 cups self-rising flour

Steps:

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
Place raisins, candied cherries, dates, and candied pineapple in a bowl; stir in 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey; set aside to soak.
Beat butter and brown sugar together in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat one egg at a time into the butter mixture; beat in vanilla extract and cinnamon with last egg.
Stir pecans and fruit mixture into butter mixture; stir in self-rising flour alternately with remaining bourbon whiskey as needed to form a soft dough. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake in the preheated oven just until cookies begin to look dry, about 30 minutes. Cool cookies on a wire rack; store in a sealed container lined with waxed paper.

3 large tea bags
1 cup sugar
6 ounces frozen lemonade concentrate
12 ounces frozen orange juice concentrate
46 ounces pineapple juice

Steps:

Boil water, pour over tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes.
Add other ingredients plus enough water to make 1 gallon.
Stir and serve.
