Steps:
- Remove peel from banana.
- Wrap banana in heavy-duty plastic wrap, and freeze until firm.
- Remove banana from freezer, and cut into large chunks.
- Place banana in container of an electric blender; add milk, sugar, and vanilla.
- Cover and process on high speed 2 minutes or until smooth.
- Pour into chilled glasses to serve.

- Mash bananas and brown sugar together in a bowl. Transfer to a small saucepan, place over medium heat, and cook until bananas begin to brown, about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Gradually mix 1 cup milk into bananas and heat until mixture begins to steam. Stir honey and cinnamon into mixture until honey has dissolved.
- Pour banana mixture into a blender no more than half full. Cover and hold lid down; pulse a few times before leaving on to blend. Puree until smooth. Blend remaining 1/2 cup milk into mixture until creamy.

I created this layer shot after trying an Amarula drink recipe with these liquors. Pretty shot and tastes great too! Amarula can be found along side Kahlua in most liquor stores. It is a creamy liqueur with a caramel flavor made from the marula fruit.

- Layer in a shot glass using the back of a spoon to separate the layers.
- Layer in this order Amarula, Banana and top with whipping cream.

BANANAS FOSTER MILKSHAKE
Steps:
- For the bananas Foster: Add the butter and the bananas to a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook until the bananas are caramelized, about 2 minutes per side. Stir in the brown sugar and cinnamon. Pulling the saute pan away from the flame, add the banana liqueur and stir to combine. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt, and scrape the bananas Foster into a bowl to cool.
- For the milkshake: Combine the rum, the cooled bananas Foster and the ice cream in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and top with a dollop of the whipped cream. Dust with cinnamon, garnish with a maraschino cherry, and serve with a long straw.
BANANA SPLIT MILKSHAKE

- Add the vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream, strawberries, pineapple, banana, heavy cream and milk to the pitcher of a blender, and blend until smooth. Add more milk for a thinner consistency.
LAYERED SMOOTHIES
Steps:
- For the mango-peach smoothie: Add the mangoes, peaches, nectar and yogurt to a blender and blend until smooth. Add lime juice and honey to taste if needed. Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate until very cold.
- For the strawberry-banana smoothie: Combine the strawberries and sugar in a bowl and let macerate for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Add the macerated strawberries and some of the juices, the frozen banana and yogurt to a blender and blend until smooth. Add lemon juice to taste if needed. Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate until very cold.
- Fill each glass half way with the mango-peach and then fill to the top with the strawberry-banana. Mix together the finely diced mango, peach and strawberries in a small bowl and top each glass with some of the fruit for garnish.

- Dip rim of a tall glass in caramel. Place glass in freezer while preparing milkshake.
- Blend vanilla ice cream and milk until thick but pourable. Add 1/2 of the banana and pulse to combine.
- Sprinkle remaining banana slices with sugar; using a hand-held kitchen torch, caramelize the bananas.
- Spread some caramel sauce on the inside of the prepared glass. Add coffee ice cream. Drizzle with more caramel sauce and break 2 pretzels into glass. Top with milkshake; do not fill to the top of the glass or it will overflow when toppings are added. Pipe on whipped cream, as desired. Top with bruleed banana, more caramel sauce, and pretzels also dipped in caramel. Serve with a straw, a bowl and a spoon.
