Air Fryer Baby Back Ribs image

This cooking method produced some nicely flavored ribs that were fairly tender but still had some bite to them.

Provided by CJ M

Time 1h15m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1/2 rack baby back ribs
1/2 cup bbq rub
1/2 cup bbq sauce
3 cups water

Steps:

  • Remove the Ribs from the packaging and don't pat them dry, let the natural juices help the seasoning stick to the Ribs
  • Let the Pork Ribs set out at room temperature for 30 minutes
  • Remove the membrane by carefully slipping a butter knife between the bone and silver skin to loosen
  • Using a paper towel for better leverage grab the loosened membrane and peel free from the bones
  • Season both sides of the ribs with the BBQ rub
  • Preheat to 390°F on the Roast mode
  • Add Ribs to the Air Crisp Basket, meat side up.
  • Lower the temperature to 325°F
  • Roast at 325°F for 10 minutes.
  • Flip the Ribs over, meat side down.
  • Add 1 cup of very hot water to the base pan
  • Roast on 325°F for another 10 minutes.
  • Flip the Ribs over, meat side up.
  • Roast on 325°F for an additional 10 minutes. (The internal temperature was 198°F after 30 minutes of roasting.)
  • Switch to 350°F on Air Crisp mode
  • Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce.
  • If the pan has become dry add an additional cup of water to the base pan to prevent the sauce from possibly smoking
  • Air Crisp at 350° for 5 minutes to allow the sauce to set
  • Remove from the grill, let rest for 5 minutes, serve and enjoy!

Air Fryer Ribs Recipe (+VIDEO) image

These are the best Air Fryer Ribs - so tender and fall-off-the-bone delicious! It's a super easy recipe that takes less than 40 minutes to make. Baby back ribs are seasoned with a simple dry rub, and then cooked in the air fryer, finally coated with a homemade sticky barbecue sauce. They are juicy, finger-licking good pork ribs and so addictive!

Provided by Izzy

Categories     Dinner

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 12

3 pounds baby back pork ribs ((1 rack))
3 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
salt and pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Remove the membrane: Peel off the silverskin from the back of the ribs.
  • Cut the rack of pork ribs into 2-3 sections so that it can fit into your air fryer basket.
  • Make the spice rub: In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper and cumin.
  • Season the baby back ribs: Pat the ribs dry and rub the ribs on all sides with the spice rub.
  • Cook the ribs in the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F/190°C for a few minutes. Once hot, place the ribs into the basket with the meat side down and cook for 15 minutes. (It's important to let the air fryer to heat up first to avoid the ribs from sticking to the basket.)
  • Flip the ribs using kitchen tongs, and cook for 10 more minutes at 375°F/190°C.
  • Make the BBQ sauce: While the ribs are cooking, you can add bbq sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
  • Brush with BBQ sauce: Remove the basket from the air fryer and brush generously with barbecue sauce on all sides.
  • Place the basket back in the air fryer and cook for 3-5 more minutes at 400°F/200°C, or until the sauce has set and darkened slightly. (It may take more or less time based on the thickness or your ribs)
  • Remove the ribs from the basket and let them rest for 5 minutes so that the juices can redistribute through the meat. Feel free to brush with more barbeque sauce if you like.

AIR FRYER RIBS WITH COLLARD GREENS

Air Fryer Ribs with Collard Greens image

The air fryer has quickly become a workhorse in many kitchens for good reason. Meals that should take hours can be completed in less than an hour, like these tender and succulent baby back ribs.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     main-dish

Time 40m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 rack baby back ribs (about 2 1/4 pounds), cut into four pieces (3 or 4 ribs per section)
4 teaspoons chile-lime seasoning (such as Tajín)
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 onion, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
1 carrot, diced
1 clove garlic, smashed
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1 large bunch collard greens (about 1 pound), stems removed and leaves roughly chopped
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup chipotle barbecue sauce, plus more for serving
4 soft dinner rolls

Steps:

  • Preheat a 6-quart air fryer to 350˚ F. Sprinkle the ribs with the chile-lime seasoning. Arrange in the air fryer basket in an even layer (it's OK if they fit snugly). Cook, turning halfway through, until the ribs are browned and crisp, 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a medium pot over medium-high heat. Add the onion, celery, carrot and garlic; cook until the vegetables are tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Season with 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Add the collard greens, vinegar, sugar and 3/4 cup water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer, loosely cover and cook until the collards are tender, 20 to 25 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, if needed.
  • Transfer the ribs to a large bowl; add the barbecue sauce and toss to coat. Return the ribs to the air fryer and cook until the sauce is slightly sticky, 5 minutes. Serve with the collard greens, rolls and more barbecue sauce.

AIR FRYER COUNTRY-STYLE RIBS RECIPE

Air Fryer Country-Style Ribs Recipe image

Recipe developer Angela Latimer is a big fan of cooking with the air fryer, and it works especially well with her recipe for country-style ribs.

Provided by Angela Latimer,Mashed Staff

Categories     dinner, main course

Time 33m

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 pounds country-style pork ribs
2 tablespoons pork seasoning
¾ cup barbecue sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes while you rinse, pat dry, and trim off any excess fat from the two pounds of country-style pork ribs.
  • Cut any particularly large pork ribs into smaller portions so that they are all relatively the same size.
  • Season the pork ribs with seasoning, sprinkling, and massaging the rub into the surface of your ribs.
  • Spray or coat the bottom of the air fryer basket with oil, then place the seasoned ribs into the basket. Arrange the ribs in a single layer with space between the ribs for even cooking. (You will likely need to cook in batches for best results.)
  • Cook the ribs for 10 minutes, then turn them and continue cooking for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Brush the air fryer ribs with ¾ cup of your favorite barbecue sauce, and return them to the air fryer.
  • Increase the temperature to 400 degrees, and cook the ribs for 8 to 10 minutes or until caramelized and crisped to your desired level.
  • Remove from your air fryer, repeat as necessary, and serve with additional sauce on the side if desired.
