2 pounds frozen blackberries, thawed
1 cup sugar plus more for dusting
3 tablespoons instant tapioca
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 (7.75-ounce) packet butter biscuit mix (recommended: Bisquick Complete)
3/4 cup cream soda, divided

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 8 (4-inch) ramekins with butter flavored cooking spray and set aside.
  • In a bowl combine thawed blackberries, tapioca, lemon juice, 1/4 cup of cream soda and sugar. Transfer to ramekins.
  • In a large bowl combined biscuit mix and remaining cream soda. Mix until well blended. Sprinkle biscuit mix over berries. Dust with sugar. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm.

2 cups self-rising flour
2 cups white sugar
2 cups milk
3 ½ cups blackberries

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Once oven temperature is reached melt butter in a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a medium bowl stir together the flour, sugar and milk; batter will be slightly lumpy. Pour mixture on top of melted butter in baking pan. Do not mix butter and mixture together.
  • Drop blackberries into batter; if more crust is desired add less blackberries. Bake in preheated oven for one hour or until golden brown.

1 cup self-rising flour
1-1/2 cups sugar, divided
1 cup 2% milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups fresh blackberries or frozen unsweetened blackberries

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Pour 1/2 cup melted butter into an 8-in. square baking dish. In a small bowl, combine flour, 1 cup sugar, milk and vanilla until blended; pour into prepared dish. In another bowl, combine blackberries, remaining 1/2 cup sugar and remaining 2 tablespoons melted butter; toss until combined. Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 425°F.
  • In 2-quart saucepan, mix 1/2 cup sugar and cornstarch. Stir in raspberries, water and lemon juice. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour berry mixture into 8- or 9-inch (2 quart) glass baking dish.

  • Use a 9" round or square baking dish. Spray lightly with non stick spray. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • In a bowl mix together Bisquick, sugar and butter. Blend in milk and set aside.
  • Fill baking dish with frozen berries, then drop spoonfuls of your batter on the top.
