BLIZZARD BITES SNACK MIX IN A JAR
I was searching around for Christmas ideas and came across this one from organize Christmas site. Thought I would share it with you. NOTE: You'll need quart size jar and a snack size food baggie and a large enough tag to write instructions on. This makes 1 jar gift

Number Of Ingredients 6
Steps:
- Layer cereal, pretzels, peanuts, cranberries and dried pineapple in a quart-sized canning jar.
- Add white chocolate chips inside food storage bag, and place on top of layered ingredients.
- Seal jar.
- Attach preparation instructions on the gift tag.
- Instructions:.
- Remove white chocolate chips from jar.
- Empty remaining jar contents into a large mixing bowl.
- Place white chocolate chips in a double boiler and let melt. NOTE: if mixture is to thick you can add 1 teaspoons of shortening to make it thin.
- Pour melted white chocolate chips over snack mixture.
- Stir until well coated.
- Spread mixture on wax paper and allow to cool.
- Break mix into small pieces, and store in air-tight storage container.

- Ingredients 1 Cup any flavor Chex cereal 1 Cup pretzel sticks 1 Cup almonds Or 1/2 cup each dried cranberries and pineapple 1/2 cup mixed nuts 1 Cup white chocolate chips 1 Quart canning jar 1 food storage bag, small
- Instructions Layer cereal, pretzel , nuts, (cranberries and dried pineapple or almonds) in a quart-sized canning jar. Place white chocolate chips inside food storage bag, and place on top of layered ingredients. Seal jar, and attach a gift tag with recipe instructions. Makes 3 1/2 cups snack mix.

Place white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl. Melt chips in the microwave for 30 seconds. Remove and stir until melted. Heat 15 seconds more if additional time is needed, (You may add 1 teaspoon solid shortening to thin chocolate mixture, if necessary.) Pour melted white chocolate chips over snack mixture. Stir until snack mixture is evenly coated. Spread mixture in a single layer over waxed paper, and allow to cool completely. Break mix into smaller pieces, and store in an air-tight storage container.
