FRESH CHERRY CRISP
A cherry crisp using sour pie cherries that has an oatmeal crunch topping. This is delicious warm from the oven with ice cream. Fresh, frozen, or canned cherries may be used.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine cherries, 1 1/2 cups white sugar, and 4 tablespoons flour. Pour into 9x13 inch baking dish. In a medium bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, oats, and brown sugar. Cut in butter and shortening until crumbly. Sprinkle over cherries.
- Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until topping is golden brown.

RHUBARB CHERRY CRISP
A combination of sweet, tart tastes combined in this super easy dessert. Good warm with ice cream on top.

- In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together the cornstarch and sugar. Stir in the water. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and bubbly. Stir in the cherry pie filling and almond extract. Set aside to cool.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar and salt. Cut in margarine until the mixture is evenly crumbly. Press 2 cups of this mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread the rhubarb over the crust, then spread the cherry mixture over the rhubarb. Stir the chopped nuts into the remaining crumb mixture, and sprinkle over the top of the fruit.
- Bake for 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top is crisp and golden. Serve warm topped with ice cream or whipped topping.

Steps:
- Make Bourbon Cherries: Pour bourbon (or SC) over dried cherries in a small bowl and let sit for at least 4 hours.
- Make Crumble topping: Mix all dry ingredients together. Chill 30 minutes before baking.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Mix bourbon cherries, pitted cherries, sugar and orange juice in baking pan.
- Top with crumble topping.
- Bake until crumble topping is golden brown and cherry filling is bubbling (30-40 minutes).

- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch (or similar size) round or square baking dish.
- Whisk the brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon together in a medium bowl. Cut in the butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture is crumbly. See photo above for a visual. Fold in the oats and almonds. Sprinkle over filling.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the fruit juices are bubbling around the edges. Remove from the oven, place on a wire rack, and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm. You can also serve room temperature or cold.
