Brie served with honey and walnuts can be a dessert or appetizer. This is our favorite way to enjoy brie cheese.

8 oz Brie soft ripened cheese (round or log shaped)
4 1/2 oz Table Water Crackers
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/3 cup honey (or to taste)

Steps:

  • Unwrap the brie and place it on a platter. Cut it in half or into triangles if you like.
  • Pile on the chopped walnuts.
  • Drizzle generously with honey. Serve with water crackers.

To toast walnuts, heat your oven to 350 degrees F. Spread the nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast for 5 to 10 minutes, tossing the nuts around occasionally to ensure even cooking. Nuts are toasted when they appear a shade darker and smell nutty.

1 wedge brie cheese
1/4 cup walnut halves, toasted
3 tablespoons pure honey
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/8 teaspoon sea salt

Steps:

  • Remove the cheese from refrigerator and place onto a serving plate. Set aside for 1 hour so that it comes to room temperature.
  • Five minutes before serving, heat the honey in a small saucepan over medium heat with the red pepper flakes and salt. When the honey is warm drizzle it over the brie. Scatter walnuts on top and around the sides then serve.

An easy baked brie recipe with honey, walnuts, and fresh rosemary

1 wedge or small wheel of brie cheese
1/3 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
1/2 teaspoon freshly chopped rosemary
2-3 tablespoons dried cranberries (optional)
3 tablespoons honey
a generous pinch of coarse sea salt
crackers and/or fruit for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Place the brie into a small oven proof dish or pan. Place into the oven and bake for 5-10 minutes, until softened. I like mine oozy so go a few extra minutes. If you just want the brie soft, check at 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile toast walnuts by placing them in a skillet over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the nuts are fragrant and toasted. This will take 3-4 minutes.. Watch carefully as the walnuts can burn quickly. Remove from heat.
  • In a small bowl, combine toasted walnuts, chopped rosemary, dried cranberries if using and the honey. Stir until completely combined.
  • Remove brie from oven and spoon over the walnut mixture over the top. Sprinkle with a generous pinch of sea salt and serve immediately.
  • Serve brie with your choice of crackers, pita chips, grapes, apples, or crostini. They're all delicious choices!

1/2 (17.3-ounce) package Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets (1 sheet), thawed
1 (8-ounce) Brie cheese round, cut in half horizontally

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 400°F. Beat the egg and water in a small bowl with a fork. Stir the walnuts, honey, and rosemary in a small bowl. Unfold the pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Roll the pastry sheet into a 12-inch square. Place 1 cheese half, cut-side up, in the center of the pastry sheet. Spread the walnut mixture on the cheese. Top with the remaining cheese half, cut-side down. Brush the edge of the pastry with the egg mixture. Fold the pastry up over the cheese to cover. Trim the excess pastry and press to seal. Brush the seam with the egg mixture. Place seam-side-down onto a baking sheet. Decorate the top with the pastry scraps, if desired. Brush with the egg mixture. 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 (8 ounce) wheel Brie cheese
2 tablespoons honey
¼ cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray cups of two 12-cup mini muffin pans with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Roll out puff pastry sheet on a large, lightly floured cutting board into a horizontal rectangle. Use a pizza slicer to cut the pastry into 4 rows horizontally and 6 rows vertically so that you have 24 (2 1/2-inch) squares. Press dough squares into each mini muffin cup and prick with the tines of a fork. Cut Brie cheese into 24 cubes. Add a cube of Brie to each pastry cup.
  • Drizzle honey over the cheese, being careful to keep the honey inside the dough cup. Top with chopped walnuts.
