Brownies w/ dried cherries Recipe - (4.4/5) image

Provided by Missball404

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 stick Unsalted Butter
2 Eggs
1 box Brownie Mix (any brand is fine)
1/4 cup Dried Montmorency Cherries
1/4 cup Walnut Halves and Pieces
1 package Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (any brand)

Steps:

  • Bring butter and cookie dough to room temperature (about an hour). Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine butter and eggs and whisk/mix. Slowly add in the brownie mix. Once the mixture is uniform, add in the cherries and walnuts; set aside. Lightly grease a brownie pan and place the chunks of cookie dough sporadically around the bottom of the pan (there may be a few pieces of cookie dough left, do with them what you must). Pour the brownie mix over the top, evenly coating the cookie dough. You may need to use the back of a spoon to help spread the mixture. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until you can stick a toothpick in the center and it comes out clean. Yummy, Enjoy!!!

BROWNIES WITH WALNUTS AND DRIED FRUIT

Brownies With Walnuts and Dried Fruit image

Dried fruits give the brownies a sourish taste that combines very well with the otherwise quite sweet desert. Give it a try and you won't regret it.

Time 45m

Yield 6-8 miffin size cakes, 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

200 g black chocolate
200 g sugar (or brown sugar)
200 g butter
70 g flour
4 eggs
100 g chopped walnuts (or hazelnuts)
100 g chopped dried fruit, of your choice (strawberries, apricot, raisins or other)

Steps:

  • Melt butter and chocolate broken into pieces in a frying pan (butter first), or in microwave.
  • Mix flour, eggs and sugar in a bowl and then add melted butter and chocolate and stir.
  • Add nuts and dried fruit to mixture and stir.
  • Pour mixture in a small pan or in muffin cups.
  • Bake 15 minutes in a per-heated oven at 200°C.
  • Do not over-bake, core should stay a little melted. This can be tried out with a toothpick in the cake - there should be some chocolate left on the toothpick when it comes out. When the brownies cool off core will thicken.

CHERRY CARAMEL BROWNIES

Cherry Caramel Brownies image

From scratch start to finish and completely well worth the effort! These brownies taste amazing with a combination of caramel and dried cherry jam. I got this from Bon Appetite Mag. I say try it as is to start and make changes from there-I love adding walnuts or using a different dried fruit, even a little cayenne makes it interesting.

Time 55m

Yield 18 brownies

Number Of Ingredients 16

4 ounces dried tart cherries
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water

DARK CHOCOLATE CHERRY BROWNIES

Dark Chocolate Cherry Brownies image

I ran across a similar brownie recipe on another forum to use as a guide - I then reduced the fat and sugar content so I wouldn't feel so guilty, but you would never know it by the taste! The cherries add a delicious surprise inside the fudgy brownies. Moreover, they are very simple to make. What's not to love? I use 60% Cocoa Ghirardelli baking chips for this recipe
