Steps:
- In a large deep skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add onion, cabbage, apples, salt and pepper and sautee for about10 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Add milk and cheese and combine well. You maybe tempted to add more milk, BUT, there will be more moisture after it has baked.
- Pour into at least a 2 quart casserole dish. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake additional 10-15 minutes.

Steps:
- Chop cabbage in pieces.
- Add to boiling water and cook for about 4 minutes; DRAIN.
- Spray casserole dish with Canola Oil spray or equivilent.
- Mix peeled apple slices and cinnamon together.
- Layer cabbage, apples, sugar and breadcrumbs in that order; continue until finish layers.
- Make sure last layer breadcrumbs are on top.
- Melt butter and pour over top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 180 degrees (350) for about 50 minutes.

- Mix cabbage, Cheddar cheese, onion, cream of celery soup, and butter in a large bowl. Mixture will be dry. Transfer to a large baking dish, spreading vegetables evenly; sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Cover baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Baked in preheated oven for 45 minutes and remove foil. Continue baking until bubbly and lightly browned, about 15 minutes more.
