Chocolate Chip Cookies for our four legged friends! Can use chopped pecans for a change. Safe for dogs. I prefer to use a mixer for speed & ease.

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup honey
1 egg
1 cup carob chips

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 deg.
Beat egg in large bowl then add butter & honey and cream together.
Add combined dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
Add carob chips and mix through.
Drop dough onto cookie sheet & bake for 10-12 minutes
Store in airtight containers &/or in fridge; or give to animal-loving friends & family, I sure do!

3/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons carob powder
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup non-fat powdered milk
1/4 cup peanut butter
3 cups rolled instant oats

Steps:

Mix all ingredients except oats in small saucepan and boil for one minute.
Add boiled mixture to oats and mix well.
Drop by teaspoons on wax paper & let cool.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal and carb powder together. In another mixing bowl, whisk together the water, oil, egg, honey and peanut butter. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and continue to knead until it forms a ball of dough.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface until it is about 1/4″ thick. You cookie cutters to cut desired shapes. You could also cut the dough into small squares using a pizza dough cutter or butter knife.
Lay the cookies on a well greased cookie sheet and bake for about 15 minutes. You’ll know they are done because they’ll be darker and begin to crack on the top.
