EASY CHEESE AND TOMATO PIZZA



Easy Cheese and Tomato Pizza image

This cheese and tomato pizza is made from scratch. It is a fun recipe to make with kids and adults alike. Made with instant pizza dough and homemade tomato sauce, this very cheesy tomato pizza was ready in 30 minutes.

300 g all-purpose flour
7 g fast action yeast
125 ml warm water
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
200 g Passata
1 tsp Oregano
handful fresh Basil (substitute with 1 tsp dried basil)
1/2 tsp bouillon powder (optional)
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp veg oil (optional)

Steps:

  • Add the tomato sauce ingredients to a pan and simmer on medium heat for about 10 minutes. Take it off the heat and leave to cool before adding to pizza dough. Alternatively, use one-part concentrated tomato, one-part water, mix it together and use as desired on pizza dough
  • Add the flour, sugar, salt and yeast into a bowl, mix to combine then add warm water and olive oil. Turn the dough unto a lightly floured worktop and knead until smooth. Continue to knead for another 3-5 minutes. Divide the dough into two and roll each dough to form a ball. Roll dough ball out to a circle.
  • Preheat the oven at 200⁰C fan oven and 220⁰C conventional oven. Do this at least 30 minutes before baking the pizza.
  • Spread the sauce on the rolled pizza dough without letting it touch the border of the dough
  • Add any other topping at this stage if using
  • Sprinkle the cheese as much as you want on the sauce and bake in the oven between 12 and 15 minutes or till the dough cooks through and cheese bubbling.
  • Remove pizza from the oven, slice and enjoy.

Bake at 375° for 7 minutes., Sprinkle half of the cheeses and oregano over crust. Arrange tomatoes on top. Sprinkle with remaining cheeses and oregano. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.

3 cups spelt flour
6 ½ tablespoons spelt flour
1 tablespoon instant yeast
1 teaspoon salt
olive oil, divided, or as needed
1 cup lukewarm water
½ onion, finely diced
3 cups tomato puree
2 cloves garlic, crushed
¼ cup chopped fresh basil, or to taste
1 ⅔ (16 ounce) packages mozzarella cheese, shredded
salt to taste

Steps:

  • Sift 3 cups plus 6 1/2 tablespoons flour, yeast, and 1 teaspoon salt together in a bowl. Pour 1 tablespoon olive oil into a bowl with lukewarm water; mix into the dough at a steady rate, kneading with your hands until elastic.
  • Transfer dough to a bowl lightly greased with 1 1/2 teaspoons oil and cover with a towel. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Punch down dough; cover again and let rise, 30 to 45 minutes more.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Cook onion, stirring occasionally, until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add tomato puree and garlic; toss in basil. Cook, stirring occasionally, until simmering, about 4 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and cook until flavors blend, about 15 minutes more. Reduce heat to low.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 2 baking sheets with remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil.
  • Roll each dough half into a pizza crust, pinching up the edges of the dough if you like. Spoon sauce generously onto the pizzas, covering them completely. Divide mozzarella cheese between the pizzas.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, enjoying the romance of a secluded kitchen together, until mozzarella cheese is melted golden brown and the bottom of the pizza is browned, 10 to 20 minutes. Let cool for a few minutes before enjoying together.

1/4 cup Classico Fire Roasted Tomato Pizza Sauce
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Italian* Five Cheese Blend
2 plum tomatoes, sliced
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
2 tsp. fresh oregano leaves

Steps:

  • Add warm water to combined yeast, sugar and 2 tsp. oil in large bowl; stir. Let stand 5 min. Process flour and salt in food processor until blended. Use pulsing action to gradually add yeast mixture through feed tube. Process 1 min. or until dough turns into ball and is sticky. Place on work surface lightly sprinkled with flour. Knead dough until smooth and elastic; shape into ball. Place in separate large bowl sprayed with cooking spray; turn dough over. Cover with plastic wrap. Let rise in warm place 1 hour or until doubled in volume.
  • Heat oven to 400ºF. Shape dough into heart shape on parchment-covered baking sheet. Brush with remaining oil. Spread with pizza sauce; sprinkle with cheese. Top with tomato slices and chili flakes.

  • For Supreme Combo toppings, add tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushroom, white onion, and green pepper in the lower right corner of the potato heart.

2 (1 pound 1.5 ounce) pouches chocolate chip cookie mix (such as Betty Crocker®)
2 sticks butter, softened
2 eggs
¼ cup all-purpose flour
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
½ cup yogurt
3 ½ cups frozen mixed fruit, thawed

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a pizza pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine cookie mix, butter, and eggs in a bowl until a soft dough forms.
