1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 (14.5-oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup bottled barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons chopped pickled jalapeño peppers (optional)
1 tablespoon liquid from pickled jalapeño peppers (optional)
1 (11.25-oz.) package frozen garlic Texas toast
1/2 cup (2 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring often, 8 to 10 minutes or until beef crumbles and is no longer pink; drain well. Return to skillet. Stir in tomatoes, next 3 ingredients, and, if desired, jalapeño peppers and liquid. Cover and cook 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, prepare Texas toast according to package directions. Serve beef mixture over Texas toast; sprinkle with cheese.

½ cup chopped onion
¼ cup chopped bell pepper
salt and ground black pepper to taste
½ cup barbeque sauce
½ cup ketchup
¼ cup water, or more as needed
2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
8 (1.5 ounce) hamburger buns
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
¼ cup dill pickle slices, or to taste
¼ cup sliced onion, or to taste

Steps:

  • Spray a pan with cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat. Add chicken, onion, bell pepper, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir until chicken is no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Add barbeque sauce, ketchup, 1/4 cup water, and mustard. Mix thoroughly and add more water if the mixture seems too thick. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Serve on hamburger buns topped with Cheddar cheese, pickle slices, and sliced onion.

1 small onion, finely chopped
3/4 cup barbecue sauce (any flavor)
1/4 teaspoon salt, to taste (I measure this by feel)
1/8 teaspoon black pepper (I use measuring spoon)
4 hamburger buns
1/2 cup red bell pepper (4 rings)
4 slices American cheese (or any flavor cheese)

Steps:

  • In a large nonstick skillet, brown the onions a few minutes, then add beef and continue to brown untilt he meat is fully cooked; drain fat.
  • Add salt to taste, pepper, and BBQ sauce, sitrring to coat, let simmer on fairly low heat about 5-10 minutes.
  • Spoom hot meat mixture on top of bottom half of each bun, top with a slice of cheese and red bell pepper ring on each, then top with other half of bun.

1/4 cup each finely chopped celery, onion and green pepper
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated flaky biscuits (10 count)
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°. In a large skillet, cook beef and vegetables over medium heat until beef is no longer pink, 5-7 minutes, breaking up beef into crumbles; drain. Stir in barbecue sauce; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 2 minutes, stirring occasionally., Separate dough into 10 biscuits; flatten to 5-in. circles. Press onto bottoms and up sides of greased muffin cups. Fill with beef mixture., Bake until biscuits are golden brown, 9-11 minutes. 1 small onion, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic (optional)
2 stalks celery, finely chopped
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
salt and pepper
3/4 cup favorite barbecue sauce
1 (12 ounce) can flakey refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese (or to taste)
2 cups grated cheddar cheese (or to taste)

Steps:

  • Set oven to 400 degrees.
  • Prepare 10 ungreased standard-size muffin cups/tins.
  • In a large skillet brown the ground beef with onion, garlic, celery and bell pepper for about 6-8 minutes, or until the beef is no longer pink; drain fat and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add in barbecue sauce and simmer about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Meanwhile place one biscuit in each ungreased muffin tins and press the dough down firmly onto the bottoms and sides of the cups.
  • Spoon about 1/4 cup beef mixture into each biscuit cup.
  • Sprinkle the tops with parmesan cheese and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges of the biscuits are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the tops of each, return to the oven for about 1-2 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  • Let stand for 1 minute then loosen edges of biscuits cups before removing them from the pan.
