Chutney Glazed Cheese Pâté image

What a combination of flavors! From a recipe card set, this appetizer disappears quickly whenever I make it. Passive time is 1 hour chill time.

Yield 1 cheese pâté

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 lb cheddar cheese, shredded
3 tablespoons dry sherry
3/4 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup mango chutney
1/2 cup green onion, finely chopped

Steps:

  • Blend cream cheese with the shredded cheese until well mixed. Do this by hand or in a food processor using a plastic blade.
  • Mix in the sherry, curry powder and salt until well blended.
  • Shape into a cake, about 5 inches in diameter, onto serving plate. Cover and chill at least 1 hour or as long as overnight.
  • Before serving, pile mango chutney and green onions on top. Surround with crisp sesame or whole wheat crackers. Guests can either dip into the cheese or spread it with a knife.

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
3 green onions, chopped
3/4 cup chutney
1/4 cup chopped salted peanuts
Assorted crackers

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth; stir in green onions. Spread into a shallow serving dish., Top with chutney; sprinkle with peanuts. Serve with crackers.

Number Of Ingredients 9

3/4 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
8 ounces boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1/4 cup prepared chutney
40 small fresh mint leaves
20 Town House® Bistro multigrain crackers
3 tablespoons chopped dry roasted peanuts, almonds or pistachios

Steps:

  • 1. In small bowl combine curry powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Pound chicken between two pieces of plastic wrap to 1/4-inch thickness. Rub both sides with curry mixture. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.2. Place chicken on rack of broiler pan. Broil 4- to 5-inches from heat for 4 to 6 minutes or until no longer pink, turning once. Cut chicken into bite-size pieces. 3. Cut up any large pieces of chutney. To serve, place mint leaves on crackers. Top each with chicken pieces and some chutney. Sprinkle with nuts.

This exotically spiced glazed ham will take your tastebuds on a trip to the Far East regions of the world. Mango chutney, raisins, and curry powder blend to make a sweet and spicy glaze for any Cook's Ham.

1 Cook's® brand Bone-in Spiral Sliced Ham, Butt or Shank Portion Ham, or Half Ham
½ cup mango chutney, large pieces chopped, if necessary
¼ cup raisins, finely minced
1 ½ teaspoons white balsamic vinegar or white wine vinegar
½ teaspoon curry powder
¼ teaspoon ground ginger

Steps:

  • Prepare and heat ham according to directions on package.
  • Meanwhile, to prepare glaze, combine chutney, minced raisins, vinegar, curry powder and ginger in bowl; mix thoroughly.
  • Brush glaze on your Cook's brand ham 30 minutes before meat is done. Heat ham uncovered for final 30 minutes. Remove ham from oven and let rest 10 to 15 minutes. Carve ham and serve.
