1 package butter pecan cake mix (regular size)
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup cinnamon baking chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine cake mix and brown sugar. Add eggs and melted butter; mix well. Stir in pecans and baking chips. Spread into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan., Bake until golden brown, 25-30 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

These pecan pie bars are great for the children and adults in any family.

3 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine
4 eggs
1 ½ cups light corn syrup
1 ½ cups white sugar
3 tablespoons margarine, melted
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
2 ½ cups chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 10x15 inch jellyroll pan.
  • In a large bowl, stir together the flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and salt. Cut in 1 cup of margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the prepared pan, and press in firmly.
  • Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • While the crust is baking, prepare the filling. In a large bowl mix together the eggs, corn syrup, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 3 tablespoons margarine, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in the chopped pecans. Spread the filling evenly over the crust as soon as it comes out of the oven.
  • Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until set. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing into bars.

1 egg
1/2 lb butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup pecans, chopped

Steps:

  • Beat egg.
  • Combine next 5 ingredients, then beat in 1/2 of the beaten egg.
  • Stir flour until fluffy and gradually stir into butter/sugar mixture.
  • Stir in the nuts.
  • Press this dough into 13" X 10" greased pan and brush the other 1/2 of the egg on top.
  • Bake at 275 degrees for 1 hour.
  • Cool for 10 minutes and cut into even-sized bars.

12 cinnamon graham crackers
2 cups chopped walnuts
1 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a 10x15 inch jellyroll pan.
  • Arrange cinnamon graham crackers with sides touching in a single layer to cover the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle the walnuts evenly over the crackers. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, butter and cinnamon. Cook stirring constantly until the mixture begins to boil. Continue to boil the syrup for 3 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and pour over crackers.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until bubbly and slightly darker around the edges. Cool completely in the pan. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container at room temperature.

1 cup sugar
1 egg, separated
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup white chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300°F Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on high speed until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks; beat well, Add flour and cinnamon; beat on low speed until well blended. Press dough evenly into a 1/4 inch thick rectangle on large ungreased baking sheet (at least 15x21 - inches).
  • Beat egg white until foamy. Brush on dough. Sprinkle with nuts; lightly press into dough.
  • Bake 45 minutes or until lightly browned While still hot cut into 36 bars, 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 -inches each. Remove from baking sheet. Cool completely on wire rack.
  • Melt chocolate chips in separate bowls as directed on package. Spoon each melted chocolate into a plastic sandwich bag, then cut a small piece from one of the bottom corners of the bag. Close the bag tightly, then drizzle the chocolates in a pretty pattern over the bars. Let stand until the chocolate is set, Store in an airtight container.
