Jimmy Dean Sausage Breakfast Pizza image

This pizza is made with a combination of all your favorite breakfast foods, such as sausage, cheese, hash browns, and eggs. Top with thinly sliced red, yellow and green bell peppers for a beautiful (and tasty!) presentation.

2 (16 ounce) packages Regular Flavor Jimmy Dean Pork Sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained
2 (8.5 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
2 cups frozen hash brown potato cubes, thawed
2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
6 eggs, lightly beaten
⅓ cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
⅓ cup diced green bell pepper
⅓ cup diced red bell pepper
⅓ cup diced yellow bell pepper
½ cup thinly sliced green onions

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 F. Separate crescent rolls into sixteen triangles. Place in two ungreased 12 inch rimmed pizza pans with points toward the center. In each pan, press rolls together, seal perforations and form a circle 1 inch larger in diameter than bottom of pan. Turn edges under to make a slight rim.
  • Sprinkle cooked sausage evenly over each crust. Top with potatoes; add peppers and/or green onions, if desired. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper in small bowl: stir well. Pour half of the egg mixture evenly over each pizza. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until eggs are set and crusts are golden.

1 pound bulk pork sausage
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 envelope country gravy mix
6 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon butter
1-1/4 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded pepper Jack cheese

Steps:

  • Separate crescent dough into 16 triangles and place on a greased 14-in. round pizza pan with points toward the center. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of pan to form a crust; seal seams. Bake at 375° for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown., Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the sausage, onion and green pepper over medium heat until sausage is no longer pink; drain. Prepare gravy according to package directions. Stir into sausage mixture; set aside., In a small bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add egg mixture; cook and stir until almost set. Spread gravy mixture over crust. Top with eggs, mushrooms and cheeses. Bake 5-10 minutes longer or until eggs are set and cheese is melted. Cut into wedges.

¼ cup sage pork sausage
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
¼ cup half-and-half
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon onion powder
3 large eggs
3 tablespoons shredded Swiss cheese
3 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Place pizza crusts on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from oven and leave oven on.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir sausage until browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove sausage with a slotted spoon; drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Reduce heat of skillet to medium-low. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in the skillet. Add flour; stir until dissolved to make a roux, about 1 minute. Add half-and-half; stir to remove browned bits from bottom of the skillet. Cook and stir until thick, about 2 minutes. Season gravy with pepper, salt, and onion powder.
  • Return the drained sausage to the skillet; stir to coat with the gravy. Remove from heat; divide sausage gravy evenly over the pizza crusts.

I saw those mini single serving Boboli shells in the store and for some reason this recipe just popped into my head. It's one of my husbands favorite weekend breakfasts.

1/4 cup(s) sage sausage roll
3 - eggs, beaten
1/4 cup(s) half and half
3 tablespoon(s) shredded swiss or guyere cheese
2 tablespoon(s) butter, divided
2 teaspoon(s) flour
1/8 teaspoon(s) onion powder
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 Place pizza crusts on a baking sheet and cook for 5 minutes, remove from oven and set aside.
  • Heat a medium size skillet to medium-high heat and crumble sausage and cook until browned. Remove sausage with slotted spoon and place on a plate with a paper towel to drain.
  • Reduce heat on pan to medium-low Add 1tbs butter and melt Add flour and stir until melted to make a rue
  • Add half and half and stir to remove browned bits from bottom of skillet, stir until thick
  • Add salt and pepper and onion powder and stir
  • Add drained sausage back to pan and coat the sausage with the gravy
  • Remove from heat and divide evenly over pizza crusts
  • Heat a small non-stick pan over low heat, and melt in 1tbs butter then scramble the eggs. Remove from heat and divide evenly over pizza crusts.
  • Top with shredded cheeses. Place back in the heated oven for 3-4 minutes or until cheese is melted.
