MARLBORO MAN'S FAVORITE SANDWICH

Steps:
- Slice the onions and cook in 1/4 stick butter until soft and light brown. Remove and set aside.
- Slice the cube steak against the grain. Sprinkle with seasoning salt.
- Heat 2 tablespoons butter over high heat (in same skillet) until melted and beginning to brown. Add the meat in a single layer. Cook one side until brown, and then flip and cook until brown, about a minute on both sides.
- Add 1/2 cup (at least) Worcestershire sauce, 5 to 6 shakes hot sauce and 2 tablespoons butter. Add the cooked onions. Stir to combine.
- Butter the halved French rolls and brown in a skillet.
- To assemble, lay the bottom half of a French roll on a plate. Place the meat mixture, followed by a spoonful of juice from the pan. Top with other half of roll, cut in half and devour!
SLOW-COOKER COWBOY BEEF AND BBQ BEAN SANDWICHES
Loaded with beef and baked beans, saucy sandwiches satisfy hunger in a hurry. Coleslaw adds a cool crunch.

- Place onions in 3- to 4-quart slow cooker. Add beef. Top with baked beans and barbecue sauce.
- Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
- Remove beef from cooker; place on cutting board. Shred beef, using 2 forks. Return beef to cooker and mix well. Stir in chili. To serve, place 1/2 cup beef mixture in each roll and top with 2 tablespoons coleslaw.

Cowboy sandwiches have always been a family favorite! My great-grandmother Charlotte Kennedy made these for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And all of us have made them for our children and grandchildren.... This is a very simple, fast, delicious, and fun meal to prepare. We love watching sports on T.V. and munching on these goodies! This was my father's absolute favorite sandwich! Cowboy sandwich? As the story goes.... the toast shape is the outer part of a branding iron, the round tomato slice represents the word CIRCLE, the bacon represents the letter X, and the cheese represents the cattle ranch.... Circle X Ranch! *** If there weren't tomatoes available, they were made without... still a good sandwich! Anyway Pardners...You All Try This Here Food... Ya Hear?

- Toast the bread slices. Place them on a baking sheet.
- Place one large tomato slice on each slice of toast. (If you don't have a large slice of tomato use 1 - 2 slices).
- Put two slices of bacon in the shape of an X on top of the tomato.
- Top each one with a slice of cheese.
- Place in oven under the broiler. Keep close watch so they don't burn! They are done when the cheese is melted, bubbles form with browned spots.
- ***These open face sandwiches are good with nothing on them, but we do like a sprinkle of salt and pepper on top.

- Start the barbecue. Remove the pork chops from the package and pat them dry with a paper towel. Season both sides of them with salt, pepper, granulated garlic, and dried rosemary. Drizzle a little bit of olive oil onto the pork chops and rub the seasoning in. Set aside.
- If you haven’t already, cook the bacon. In another skillet, add the olive oil and heat over medium high heat. Add the onions and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the onions are soft, turning down the heat to medium when the just start to soften. We are not looking for crispy onions so you want to cook them a little lower.
- At this point, the pork chops can go on the grill if you are working a two man job here. If it’s just you cooking, finish this step fully before putting the chops on the grill. When the onions are very soft and caramelized, add the BBQ sauce and a sprinkling of granulated garlic. Give a good stir and let cook for about 3 minutes. Add the chopped, crispy bacon. Mix well and set aside.
- Grill the pork chops on the BBQ, until done to your desired temperature. Some people do not like pink at all. I can handle a little pink, which is OK to eat despite what your mom might have told you. If you have a meat thermometer, this is your best friend. Just cook until the internal temp in the thickest part of the meat reads 145, flipping half way through. If you don’t have a BBQ, you can also cook these in a skillet that can transfer to an oven (400 temp for about 10-15 minutes). When you flip the pork, wait a few minutes to cook the other side of the pork and until they are close to being done before adding the cheese. Remove from the grill.
