  • In a large skillet, cook pork chops in oil over medium heat for 8-10 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160°. 4 raw chop with refuse, 113 g; (blank) 4 ounces thick cut pork chops
½ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste

6 boneless thick-cut pork chops
salt and ground black pepper to taste
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons dried thyme
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups chicken broth
½ cup half-and-half
6 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced, divided
½ cup diced onion, divided
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon butter.
  • Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat. Season pork chops with salt and pepper; cook in skillet until browned, 3 to 5 minutes per side.
  • Melt remaining 3 tablespoons butter in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir mustard and thyme into the butter; season with salt and pepper. 6 pork chops
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 large onion, sliced 1/4 inch thick
2 cubes chicken bouillon
2 cups boiling water
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream

Steps:

  • Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and then dredge in 1/2 cup flour. In a skillet over medium heat, lightly brown chops in a small amount of oil.
  • Place chops in slow cooker, and top with onion slices. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water and pour over chops. Cover, and cook on Low 7 to 8 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees F (95 degrees C).
  • After the chops have cooked, transfer chops to the oven to keep warm. Be careful, the chops are so tender they will fall apart. In a small bowl, blend 2 tablespoons flour with the sour cream; mix into meat juices. Turn slow cooker to High for 15 to 30 minutes, or until sauce is slightly thickened. This is a recipe my Grandma Margie has been making for the past 40 years and it's our favorite pork chop recipe. They're kind of sweet and kind of sour, but absolutely wonderful! You can also substitute 6 ounces of cream cheese for the sour cream if that's what you have on hand, in which case you should bake the dish covered. These chops are great served with rice pilaf, mashed potatoes, or over pasta, with a salad on the side. Enjoy!

4 1/2-inch thick pork chops

8 ounces greek cream cheese
12 ounces center cut bacon
garlic powder
onion powder

Steps:

  • Cream cheese and bacon should be room temperature for easier handling.
  • Season pork chops with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper, then pound to about 1/4" thickness.
  • Put cream cheese (1-2 tablespoons) onto the center of each flattened pork chop.
  • Roll the pork chops closed (to keep the cream cheese inside).
  • Wrap each pork chop in one to two pieces of bacon (depending on how big your pork chops are). Secure with a toothpick.
  • Place the pork chops in a lightly greased baking dish, and bake for 30 minutes at 400 degrees.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (10 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup

  • Combine cream of mushroom soup, 1/3 can water, softened cream cheese and garlic in a bowl.
  • Stir out most of the lumps, but the rest will cook out.
  • Pour in bottom of crock pot.
