- Place onion in a 3-qt. slow cooker. Top with carrots, potatoes and brisket. Combine the apple juice, cloves, brown sugar, orange zest, mustard and contents of spice packet; pour over brisket. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours. , Add cabbage; cover and cook 30 minutes longer or until meat and vegetables are tender. Strain and discard cloves; serve pan juices with corned beef and vegetables.

- Place corned beef fat side up on top of the veggies.
- Mix apple juice, brown sugar and mustard together and pour over corned beef. Sprinkle spice packet over top of corned beef.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high 5-6 hours.
- Add cabbage one hour prior to serving.
- Remove the cabbage, corned beef, potatoes and carrots from the slow cooker. Slice the corned beef against the grain.

- In a medium bowl, whisk together the apple juice, brown sugar, and mustard until well mixed. Pour over the corned beef and vegetables in the slow cooker. Mix gently.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours or on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
- Remove meat and vegetables and some of the cooking liquid to a platter with a lip to contain the juices.
