- Place the rice in a bowl and rinse under cold water until it runs clear.
- Add the washed rice in the pot, then pour in water or broth. Lock the lid, set the steam release valve to closed.
- Press the Rice/Risotto button, then press Start/Stop. (It will default to low pressure and 12 minutes of cook time.)
- When the cooking time is ended, allow a natural pressure release. Rice grains are delicate, which is why it needs to be cooked on low pressure and released naturally.

CROCK-POT EXPRESS WHITE RICE RECIPE
Learn how to cook white rice in your Crock-Pot Express pressure cooker with this super simple recipe. You will get perfectly fluffy white rice every time! While this recipe specifically calls for long-grain white rice you can use this recipe for short-grain white rice, basmati rice, jasmine rice and sushi rice too!

Steps:
- Place dry rice in a strainer in the sink and rinse rice under cool running water to rinse off extra starch from the rice. Allow the water to drain off.
- Place rinsed rice in the insert of your Crock-Pot Express.
- Add 2 1/2 cups of water and stir.
- Close lid, making sure vent is closed.
- Turn Crock-Pot Express on, press the "Rice/Risotto" button, and then press the "Start/Stop" button to start the cooking.
- Once the rice is done cooking, let the Crock-Pot Express natural release for 5 to 10 minutes, then quick release the vent to release the rest of the steam out.
- Remove lid, fluff the rice up with a fork and enjoy!
