4 tablespoons sun-dried tomato pesto (Classico makes a good one)

Steps:

  • Put sausages and veggies into crock pot.
  • Pour spaghetti sauce and pesto over top.
  • Cook on low for 5-6 hours.
  • Serve with pasta or on toasted buns.

1 large chopped onion

48 ounces chunky spaghetti sauce

Steps:

  • Place water and sausage in a skillet.
  • Bring to a boil for 10 minutes.
  • Place sausage without water in crock pot.
  • Place onion and green pepper on top of sausage and then pour spaghetti sauce over everything.
  • Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Serve with your favorite bread.

1 (16 ounce) package spicy ground pork sausage
1 (12 fluid ounce) can beer
6 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
1 medium yellow bell pepper, chopped
1 large sweet onion, chopped
1 large red onion, chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
1 habanero pepper, seeded and chopped
1 red chile peppers, seeded and chopped
¼ cup chopped green onions
2 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups chicken broth

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large, deep skillet over medium high heat, cook sausage in the beer until evenly browned. Drain, and set aside.
  • In a large baking dish, mix sausage, potatoes, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, sweet onion, red onion, jalapeno pepper, habanero pepper, red chile pepper, green onions, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in chicken broth.
  • Cover, and bake in the preheated oven 1 hour, or until all vegetables are tender.

3 bone-in pork loin chops (7 ounces each)
4 Italian sausage links (4 ounces each)
1 can (28 ounces) whole plum tomatoes, undrained
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 large onion, halved and sliced
1 large sweet red pepper, cut into strips
1 large green pepper, cut into strips
1 jar (16 ounces) mild pickled pepper rings, drained
8 submarine buns, split
1 cup shredded Italian cheese blend

Steps:

  • Place pork chops and sausage in a 5- or 6-qt. slow cooker. Place tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, garlic and pepper flakes in a food processor; pulse until chunky. Pour over meats. Cook, covered, on low 4 hours., Add onion and peppers to slow cooker. Cook, covered, on low 2-3 hours longer or until pork is tender, a thermometer inserted in sausages reads 160°, and vegetables are crisp-tender. Remove pork chops and sausages from slow cooker. Remove pork from bones; discard bones. Shred meat with two forks and cut sausages into 2-in. pieces; return to slow cooker. Serve on buns with cheese.

  • Cook on high for two hours, check for dryness, adding some water if necessary, then reduce to low setting, and cook on low for two more hours.
